when i am looking at the modles to buy all i can find are the battle packs... is there any other way i can buy modles seperatly?

@thedarklordellesar This is an extremely late response, but there are alot of places that carry blisters and unit/warjack boxes. Alot of hobby gaming shops the carry Warmachine carrythe full range, but for online stuff, I've been using a great website called The War Store, they have lower than shelf prices, and have a wide range of the Warmachine/Hordes models. They usually get the new stuff on pre order and release dates really quickly.

I also have been an avid player of Warmachine for about two and a half years now. I had all the faction armies, but sold them and am getting back into it now with the Mark II rules. I am getting the cygnar force only this time around.

Great videos. I bought into Warmachine back when it first came out but haven't had as scene where I live for some time. I have some vacation time coming up around Christmas that I plan to use to paint up a small force. I am moving to North Carolina. Hopefully there are some FLGS there where people play.

When i saw "in real life" I thought you were asking about how tall a 1:1 scale Sir Ekkrion would be. Anyways, small based models average at one inch, medium based models average at two inches and large based models average three inches.

actully if played correctly the exemplar vengers can be nearly inpossible to kill and because they have one of the highest speeds in warmachiene, if you can keep them charging then they will be one of the most dangerous units in the battle. i have seen them anihilate man-o-war formations and cripple heavy jacks. not to mention that their lances ignore spell effects that boost arm or def.

No, it is not. It is a nation comprised of many races (Ogrun, Trollkin, Dwarves, Gobbers and the rare Elf). Cygnar is a very cosmopolitan country.

Does anyone know how well Warmachine compares to Warhammer or Warhammer 40k? I would be tempted to play Warmachine if only any of my local gamers played it.

Totally different games at different levels of encounter. Warmachine is more skirmish based than warhammer, you can make more special attacks etc, for example a headbutt which knocks your opponent down. The game is really great and worth playing ;)

i used to hate the whole "paint your own crap" but the first time i started playing AT-43 (pre-painted) i missed painting my own stuff. Sure it takes time. Sure it takes me half a year to finish HALF an army (got more than just wargaming on my plate). But man, when you take time and you look at your finished army...man its sooo satisfying* :)
