  • nevermind, i opened the description...

  • what is the name of the song that he's playing from 0:32 to 0:50?

  • @JaroWKR "I Can't Tell You Why" by The Eagles (from The Long Run album).

  • This sounds good but it will never make me give up my '74 Mark I.

  • Very 70s (and early 80s) sounding.

  • Great..

  • josie <3

  • Got the new Mark 7. Better than the original. All the notes sound good if you know what you're doing. I had it tuned by a professional that knew how to BLEND the keyboard. All the Mark 1's come with their inherent problems. This is a much improved keyboard when tuned well. If you think this sounds like a synth, then go back to your plug in. Nothing sounds like a real Rhodes with tines and tonebars. You can't make a mechanical Rhodes wound like a synth and vice versa. You need real ears.

  • I personally think they should have stayed with the tradition of roman numerals... Mark VII just looks elegant! :D

    An amazing instrument, nonetheless!

  • Magnífico !!

  • Can't wait to get my Rhodes all the way restored so I can play such beauties as these.

  • Man... so nice.. specially the songs you've choosen.. from steely dan to the doobie brothers.. michael mcdonald... great man!

  • rhodes? the greek island?

  • @sssSaramikeyzzz fender rhodes..the electric piano

  • Maybe anyone will explain to me why from the note n° 51 to upnotes, Rhodes chooses good "brillant metallic" sound and from n°51 to downnotes, Rhodes chooses "neutral" sound ? How to resolve it on my new Rhodes ?

  • We can feel the difference of the touch : over the note n° 51, every hammer is "eazy" and the sound's clear. But under the n°51, the touch is "heavy" and looses the shine of sound. I remember I've tried a Fender-Rhodes in the 80's : every touch gave the SAME "metallic" or "brillant" SOUND on all the keyboard. Not here : this model is seperated in 2 parts. So,yesterday, I tried to play with 1 equaliser and pushed treble on maxi : it was just a LITTLE better but FAR FROM PERFECT ! Desapointed !

  • Such a great, powerful, versatile sound... I love Rhodes electric pianos!

  • Me encantan estos sonidos, es mi piano preferido.

  • WOW! Love that classic Rhodes sound, absolutely breath taking! It and the Hammond B3 are the all American legendary classic instruments that represent what true "Americanism" is about. lol for the lack of a better term "Legendary Americanism" is the best way I can describe it. I don't who owns rhodes now, but it was born reared in the USA.

  • @gospelsoulman Absolutely, all of those great recordings from 66-78(ish) just come flooding into my subconscious. That warm dreamy sound can't be replaced or duplicated.

  • @gospelsoulman Couldnt agree more!! Stephen King's reference to such things fell under what he called Kulture Americana. (maybe he heard that somewhere, thats just where i heard it) but I thought the Rhodes n the B3 fell into that category. Hell, we dont have much else, except maybe jazz and mud wrestling.
