Akiko is my favorite character in BGI. I like the Yano x Aki pairing, but I also like her with Take as well. I have a feeling she's not going to end up with anybody though. In the manga, she's used as more of a catalyst for Nanami's relationships. Aki doesn't really get any love for herself. I love this MMV by the way!
i didn't think i'd read bokura ga ita (typical shojo) until i saw vol.10 at the library with aki in it. i really like her character and now i,m reluctant to read back a few volumes bcuz aki seems more interesting than nanami.
so akiko and yano never have anything? i'm in chapter 36 of the manga (volume 10 i think) and i thought that yano and akiko had a fling or something and thats why yano lost contact with nanami, out of gultiness maybe.. gotta keep reading i guess and find out what happened.
Ive just watched the first episode of BGI. I stopped because it seemed to be so typical Shoujo manga, but when i see your vid and YanoAki (Aki looks cute!) I want to continue reading/watching BGI.
I hope Aki and Yano will end up together, but its usual that in Shoujo manga the most popular pairing wins -_-; (Thats why I like VK <3 KanaYuu is so canon that it almost hurts)

Aww Aki isn't in the anime, sadly. The anime stops right before Yano moves away and Aki is from the city Yano moves away to; which is why I have not watched the anime. I casually picked up BGI right on the volume Aki showed up in, so I remain blissfully unaware of the cliches that might be on the previous volumes xD Aki has been handled beautifully though, which is why I love her so damn badly!

It's hard to explain, but it's very realistic. It follows the main char, Nana as she falls in love and then deals with not having Yano around. They had to separate and have a long-distance relationship, and then shit happened and Yano went missing for 5 years. That's basically the main storyline, but with more characters and drama inbetween, of course! I do recommend it <3
