Here is some background for those of you folks who just don't know or are in denial. Doris Day had a "thing" for black men. It is well-known that she had a long affair with Maury Wills who was a black baseball player in the 50's. Doris' son was Terry Melcher who became a record producer in the sixties. Terry became friends with Sly and used to bring him around the house. Doris couldn't help herself and commenced an affair with him which both have always denied but is well-documented.

Doris always played a "goodie 2 shoes" girl who always "resisted" Rock Hudson's advances and even slapped him in the face if he "got fresh.". All the while, she was sucking the chocolate stick and Rock Hudson was taking it up "Hershey Highway: because he was so gay. Typical of white America's hypocrisy.
