i love this band. and i listen to hendrix, rhcp, black sabbath, the minutemen and more music that has a totally different fanbase. but you can tell they play because they love it and it comes through in the music. i love that they are trying different things so im very interested in where they will go creatively

It's a cross between a guitar and a piano, with a bunch of strings across a board, with a grid of frets laid out like a piano keyboard. I guess if you can play piano, you can play this. You don't strum it, you just tap each spot on each string; it'll sustain as long as you hold the string. The sound is picked up like an electric guitar, so you can use reverb and everything. Only $6,000, cheap! =/

@ChrisXpresents Oh, don't get me wrong, I like it too, I was just saying it is pretty "out there". I've seen worse, and it'd be boring to wear it the same all the time. But I do I hope she doesn't shave her head! All three of these girls can make ANYTHING look good, and IMHO, I almost think Maia is growing up to be the prettiest of the three (which is saying an awful lot!). I'm also glad she's got that harpejji; I think she can make a more audible contribution to the music now. =)

Chloe's drumming is amazing as always. Being a violin player, I still don't get it how one can have that seemingly effortless coordination between arms and legs. I'm able to shake the rattle thing with precision, but the rest? And simultaneously? With musical expression? And singing? Wow.

Never heard of the Harpejji, though, have to try it out when I get my hands on one.

This tune manages to combine the ethereal qualities of "Aaarplane" with the funk and attitude of some of their earlier stuff (e.g. "Rad"). And yet, somehow with more sophistication.
