I can question everything about a system of morals and values that gave the world the Spanish Inquisition. Conservatives don't champion the philosophy of helping the poor and downtrodden that Jesus spoke of (have you ever read Acts? It's a socialist pamphlet!), they champion withholding vital resources and collection and concentration of power. Nothing about the conservative platform has anything to do with Christian principles. And the modern church is no better.

I don't know about taht, or Darfur. I do know that you can't eliminate an ideal, and "terrorism" is an ideal. Personally, I think that's a term we use to dehumanize our enemies. Every soldier knows taht respect for an enemy is required, otherwise you cannot know their motives, and foresee their actions. We have to accept the fact the we do not know what we are fighting. We could easily have assassinated him. Don't confuse conservatives with republicans. Conservatives, in my experience, really do think they have a just cause. Republicans are all about making money and aiming laws at a people they don't understand. Conservatives *do* spout idealistic hatred, which they believe to be in the "sinner's" best interest. They don't see it as coming from a place of malice. This "crusade" is gaining steam, and we're on a direct path to a theocracy that is *not* in the people's best interest.

Why would I care what Alec Baldwin thinks about anything? Why would I care what a party or a party loyalist thinks? Adhearing yourself to a political party only helps to shut down your mind and allow for the loads of rhetoric bull-shit to become so saturated under your skull, logic evaporates.
