rofl I never understood why these motorweek videos were so crappy not the content itself but the camera they seem to have used to record is something out of the early 90's era and it rings true all the way to mid 07
It's all in HD now on the TV. I started watching this show with my father in 1984 after the third season and I have never missed an episode! No joke... Every time I watch this show now, it reminds me of my childhood and great memories for some reason. ha ha I feel like John Davis is a distant relative to me lol ;) I hope this show continues to air for many years to come.
@macktenful that's a damn shame because it was the nicest vehicle they ever produced, the cts is an m3 fighter persay but the sts was the e-class quarry and my god, the damn thing was a muscle rod luxury sedan from hell
I've had one for nearly 4 years and still love it as much as the day I bought it. This is an absolutely fantastic car. I've driven the BMW M6, Mercedes E55 AMG and Jaguar XF-R, and although they are all very nice cars, the Cadillac is still superior overall. The XF-R comes closest in my opinion, but the build quality is a hint better on the Cadillac. The Mercedes is just boring. The BMW is beautiful on the outside and drove great, but the interior looks like it was made by Fisher Price.
I brought mine out from its winter hibernation earlier -- had some brake dust accumulation so stopped to spray them off at a car wash. I wasn't parked 30seconds til some guy walks over 'is that car Supercharged -- never seen one before' -- I've only spotted a Black and Silver; not another one in SG
It is an amazing, and RARE vehicle. I have one in Stealth Gray and it is quite the head turner.. Added tint, clear taillights, exhaust, intake, tune.. all it needed.. (Photobucket: silverws6ta)
@TheNewMrCool U seriously comparing this to an S8 and XJR? ...the S8/XJR is much more of a luxury vehicle than the STS. STS is midsize, S8/XJR is Fullsize luxury...so yeah you can compare it to a m5, rs6, e63..but Not to a S8 or XJR.
@TheNewMrCool Maybe but just because a car is a similar size doesn't mean that they are in the same class of vehicles. The STS falls short in terms of luxury compared to the S8, the fact that you compare them just proves that you've never driven one before...so yeah nice try indeed. And before you start...yes i know i'm right because i used to own a A8 and i've driven a STS as a rental car before...
@TheNewMrCool mmm yeah right the S8 is the same price as a STS-V, you should start reading some brochures before you start talking. And for the learn to read comment: You should clean your glasses my analphabetic friend;)...it says i USED to own a A8, i now own the 3 formentioned cars
@TheNewMrCool Yeah if YOU call 13 grand closer in price. The (old) XJ-R started at just under 90K and the STS-V at & $77000. Preformance wise the Jag had 69 Hp less than the caddie (although it weiged over 600 pounds less than the STS making the performance numbers pretty much the same) ...so whe're is your comparison again? Just in price and size... You do know that the DTS was basically the competitor to the XJ and not the STS (excluding any V or R models).
@TheNewMrCool The DTS was a competitor because it was Cadillac's Fullsize Luxury car with far more luxury amenities than the STS (Nightvision for instance). The STS was the midsize, It was only after the DTS was discontinued that the STS moved up to being the biggest car (not suv or crossover) that Cadillac makes.
@TheNewMrCool you have to admit the way it sways into turns isn't pretty the american attempt at high power luxury class for the businessman is on par with the rest of the american lineup, they might be gaining in quality and reliability these days but they sure aren't as beautiful as they used to be big old beasts from the 50's, 60's and 70's were the last beauty cars of the american manufacturing curve the attempt at retaking old glory is patriotic but the past will never be out done...

BMW 760: 0-60: 4.1 1/4 Mile: 12.4 @ 115.5MPH...how do you come to the conclusion that the caddie smokes the BMW?

2010 they dropped the V8 ???

I think the 2010 mercedes e63 amg is better than this, the 2009 cts-v, the bmw m5 e60, and audi s6 in every way.

Its funny how american reviewers always talk like its their job to sell the car. Not ONE critical point.
Janusha 1 year ago
That's because there isn't one....
nmarz77 1 year ago
If a car reviewer cant find a flaw. Then thats his fault and says less about the car.

Just saw one 5 mins ago.
Thought it was fake, never head of one before.
I guess it was real.
Black, just like this one.

Thanks and I agree as well -- its looks very aggressive at oncoming traffic with the hood bulge and front end -- its not easily mistaken!

no way because the dts is front drive and it will ruin it if they want to make a dts v change it to rwd.

A truly lovely car. While most compare it to the M5 and E63 AMG, it's more of a competitor to the Jag XJR in size and price.
Maybe also the Audi S8, but against those cars, it's pretty competitive.

The STS is as tall, nearly as wide, and only a few inches shorter, so yeah they are comparable. Nice try.

I didn't say they were the same class of vehicles my lying friend. I specifically said in size and price.
Learn to read and actually have an A8 before you lie about it. Your own profile says you have a 300C, an A4, and an Escort. :)

Time for YOU to read. I didn't say it was the same price as the S8. The S8 costs a good bit more. The XJR, however, was closer in price.

Actually among those high priced sedans 13 thousand isn't that huge a difference for competitors.
The DTS is no competitor either.
