Outstanding job. It was noticed while he was alive that he had classic Roman features. Dick Dorgan's "Song of Hate" mentions his classic Roman nose. He said he had "oriental optics"--meaning Asian eyes--I don't see this. His eyes were large, and no epicanthal folds. He is more attractive than many of the sculptures--his nose is smaller and has no bumps and the space between his nose and mouth is larger, but the Italian influence is there. Thank you again.
@msrudyfan You're so welcome, and thank you for your kind words. I do think Rudy was better looking than many of the sculptures, mainly because there is more space between his mouth and nose. Those statues with the short upper lips look like they're smelling something bad! His eyes do seem Asian to me at times. Although he had no epicanthal folds, his eyes seems to slant a little upwards at the outer corners.
@msrudyfan In the film "The Young Rajah", one of the title cards said that he had "soulful" eyes, which is true. His eyes seem larger than Asian's, which is probably because of the folds. Take Care and keep up the good work!
I can't believe I missed this!! AWESOME work!! Claire, you produced another masterpiece!! I LOVE your Rudy/Work of Art videos!! I've said it before, I'll say it again, your videos are proof positive that Rudy's stunning good looks are classic and he is a work of art. I can't get over the incredible resemblance between Rudy and these classic art figures!! My fav is sheik Rudy and "Theseus and Ariadne." You must do such incredible research in putting together these awesome videos!!
@valentinolover70 Thank you so much. Want to hear something funny? I had always wanted to include "Monsieur Beaucaire" in one of these videos. I found a lot of portraits of 18th-century aristocrats on line. But they were all portraits of real guys, and not one of them had even a millionth of Rudy's beauty. In fact, most of them were total dogs. So I gave up. Then recently it dawned on me to look for figurines of 18th-century noblemen, and I found the German figurine. Yay!
@pastelpinkgirly Hi, and thank you very much. I don't know when there'll be another "Valentino Talks." I've used up so many of the best classic movie lines that it's hard to come up with new ideas. As for recent movies, I haven't seen many. But I do plan to search websites that have collections of recent movie wave files and see what I can come up with.
I enjoyed the art and the pictures of Rudy! Wonderful job.

@valentinolover70 Isn't it? Man, I wish I could afford things like that. And it does bear some resemblance to Rudy, especially the nose.
