Its strange that you would ask this question, seeing as you commented on one of his videos. He is the ex-guitarist for a japanese band called Siam-Shade. He has a solo career now and goes under the name of Daita. His music kicks ass :)

Wow, this is the first time I've experienced or even heard of this guitarist...very nice. Tone wise, he seems like an odd cross between Michael Angelo Batio and Eric Johnson, but his composition and melodic sensibility are better than the recent MAB.  This is an exciting musician- very impressive.
