I was never a Dionne Warwick fan, well in a way she did direct herself. If she had to tell the people in charge what note was best then she was in charge.

well, the producer adjusts the kids song to a key that's comfortable for them to sing. Its not like it was Martika who directed herself. If you want someone who always (well used to at least) make any song hers when she used to sing covers on TV? DIONNE WARWICK on Solid Gold. She would always amaze me! She could turn a song thats completely unlike her like "We Built This City" and make it hers.
