you have to learn from your mistakes and I think you are brave, as I ride quite a difficult pony I know its hard not to give up but I never give up because you just got to push the horse/pony to do it. which is just what you have done so well done for not giving up x

God all I have to say is: USE YOUR LEG! God that's why the first clips jumps were bad! Then SHORTEN YOUR STIRRUPS! That's why your pony was bucking. Then SIT UP! that's another reason why they were bucking
those ponies are cheeky little things! but when they refuse, you should stop them right infront of the jump and kick them, so they know they did something bad, because when the horse runs out on the jump and you just keep going, they think thats what you wanted them to do and they didnt do anything wrong. but other wise you did great :)
omg all the clips with the white pony, you did an amazing job staying on! What a bratty boy though! Hate to say it but I think he needed a smack from all the refusals (unless they were your fault but it definitely didnt look like they were)

@AliceeErick haha don't worry, I know that the correct name for that color horse is grey, but I wasn't sure everyone on youtube would be aware of that sooo for clarity, I used white since it describes the horse better.
@AliceeErick I completely agree it was my fault when I fell off (and in a lot of theses clips) but not all of them. Horses have their own minds and sometimes just do what they want! I am a true believer of taking responsability for my riding though, so don't get me wrong, I wouldn't blame the horse if it was my fault. This was 4 years ago, I've got it sorted out. Don't you worry.
@ILuvChristmas123 my pony about that size can jump four feet that pony is fine for that size jump! Sometimes ponies are brattier than horses it happens you cant clear every jump without a refusal and you learn every day you ride and this was a year ago so i bet she has improved greatly

Seems like there's alot of perfect riders commenting. Look at the positives rather than the negatives. Look how well sat 3:04 was, I Would have been off for sure ;) I'm not sure if a rider that didn't know what they were doing could have sat that also persisting when the horse is refusing the jumps.? I'm pretty sure a bad rider would have gave up when the horse is being a bit stubborn lol x And this is a 'Nobody's Perfect' video. From where i'm sitting, she's a really good rider. ;) :))
@georgemyno1 Thanks so much :) I really appreciate it!!! yeah sometimes I say I should "join the rodeo" cause I learned how to ride on stubborn ponies so I can sit a buck really well and make them go over a jump, but my equitation isn't always perfect. lol oh well, I would rather be able to stay on than look perfect!
Oops ! Didn't know it was one rider! And also don't slouch! And keep your hands quiet! When you move your hands in a pumping manner, it moves against the horse and makes it harder for the horse to keep a rhythm.

I obviously wasn't expecting him to go over considering how left behind I was. I agree, it is dangerous to jump them from a halt and walk, but this was him not listening.
@cinnamonbreyergal yeah its a hugeeee ring! not at my barn, but at my county's 4-H center where they have all the shows. its really nice for flat classes cause you don't like run into people!

I went for 3 years and I really liked it the first 2 and for a combo of reasons didn't have as great of a time the 3rd year. It depends on what level of riding you are doing and what type of camp you are looking for. ok haha! my ponies are all pretty bad and this reminds me of all of them especially checks (my event pony) he is alot like the little paint ( he is a paint too) but he only gets like that when he is doing dressage and jumpers but he is perfect on the XC course he really like XC!
