Were Pete Wilson and Jessica Aguire ever replaced? It seems like Dan Ashley is on too many newscasts now 5, 6, 9pm on KOFY, and 11. I get tired of seeing the same people.

Pete Wilson died while undergoing a procedure about 2 years ago and Dan Ashley took over the 6pm newscast that week.

Jessica Aguirre and KGO management never worked out a deal on a contract, they replaced her with Carolyn Johnson and Aguirred went to NBC Bay Area.

Only Dan Noyes (i-team) and Eric Thomas are the only other male anchors that could split time with Dan Ashley with newscasts at night.

I've seen another video of KGO's current HD open with this cut.

They upgraded over a year ago when they went HD and recently went with a new open about a month ago.

This is a simple, subtle graphic look for KGO-TV. If you have by any chance a video of the new ABC7 News HD, can you please put it in here because it looks pretty similar to the original?

I'm willing to bet that KGO decided not to have KABC do their graphics this time. It doesn't look like Hothaus, so I think it was done in-house.

I'm glad Chicago's ABC 7 doesn't use graphics or a theme like that!

It seems a bit plain, it looks like it was done in House, just like KABC and WABC did theirs in house.

Actually, their graphics were created by 168 Design Group, who also does graphics for ABC.
