this mode is like a whole other game.. I was so impressed when I bought this.. if only it had lv1 max cap like POR/OOE... Loved owning Death with Yoko using backflips and ice attacks.

he is, but in order to play as him u must not equip when confronting fortune after u defeated dario and she tells u to meet at the center of the castle, do not unlock mina's item and watch the bad ending. U Can play as alucard but it's actually called Julius mode where u start out as Julius and get yoko and alucard. Yoko u find where she upgrade weapons with souls, and alucard is found where u got mina's item

What? no. this is dawn of sorrow. Aria's good ending (defeat chaos) is the true one. in this game, the good ending, (defeat menace) is the true one. Julius mode is a bonus in both games- however, in DoS they actually give it a story, and decide to make it follow after the events of the bad ending. (so technically, youve got 2 full games there) But its not the true happening. the true ending is Soma equipping Mina's pendant and thus NOT becoming dark lord when the Mina Doppelganger is killed

This is completely playable in Dawn of Sorrow. You have to beat the game with at least the second best ending to unlock Julius. Then, you pay through the game, find Alucard (and possibly Yoko). Then, the final boss is what you saw here.

You unlock Julius mode once you beat the game with the medium or good ending.

In a nutshell, he's Dracula's son who is half-vampire, half-human. He has his own game for PS1 called Symphony of the Night, the first metroidvania-style game that is the base for most Castlevania games today.

@rinofang Alucard isn't necissarely the son of dracula. Its kind of a mix of both in the third original dracula movie called son of dracula a man called Alucard shows up but also towards the end it turns out to be more of a reincarnation of dracula himself and this has been quite a debate but i've done alot of research over this and i'm 99% sure that he's a reincarnation(or its a Disguise) rather than his actual son.

You can't label something that was never truly specified in the first place but it was hinted that he is a reincarnation(or Disguised) even though the title of the movie is Son of Dracula.

Basically you unlock Julius mode by getting the bad ending with Soma. Eventually in Julius mode you meet Alucard in the castle. After that point you can switch between Julius, Yoko, and Alucard.

I beat Soma with Alucard as well, but nothing like this. I was more evasive then aggressive, it took a while but it worked. But one thing I'm wondering about this video is that it says Lv. 99. Either you spent a LOT of time grinding, or you cheated. I beat Julius Mode in about 4 and a half hours, and I was around Lv. 34.

There are so many reminders of SotN in this battle. Fisrts, the look of Alucard, coming straight from SotN. Second, the giant monster, which is the form Dracula takes in the prologue with Richter Belmont. And third, the music is Dance of Illusions, the song that plays when in the prolgue battle in SotN.
