  • O MY GOD...carbonara it's without cream ,sausage, lemon and meatballs BUT with bacon ,eggs ,pecorino

  • @fischiperlui True.. no cream =) But instead of bacon we use pancetta lol

  • @MzGreenEyes89 Pancetta is smoked Bacon....

  • @fischiperlui more or less...yess!!..the carbonara is eggs,pecorino and..pancetta..no bacon..;-)

  • @fidro10 Errata corrige...no pancetta but "Guanciale" i used the English term "bacon". and "guanciale" is'not like a pancetta. the pancetta is a part of the belly of the pig while the guanciale is a part of the cheek of the pig...

  • I love Jamie, but this is english carbonara, not the real one!!!

  • @bhnsbarbi what rubbish. english carbonnara? where did u get that from? Our carbonara in england is the same as yours in the states. remember in italy they cook different in every region, so he is cooking a traditional italian one, its just not the one we know... its the same with bolognese, minestrone, and lots of other italian dishes. we only know the one we do in our country but in italy they make it different everywhere.

  • love the fact that Jamie totally holds his own with Letterman and just lets him get on with it.

  • no no no,non ci siamo proprio, carbonara is bacon(pancetta) eggs(cream or in pieces) and cheese(pecorino).that's something made up by him and maybe tastes good but careful with names!!!

  • @gX23x

Ovvio che sia una pesonalizzazione, ormai ancheda noi le rivisitano, la conosce bene la cucina italia.

  • @gX23x guanciale non pancetta mi pare, la tradizionale

  • Now that's how you cook on the letterman show. You encourage Dave to goof off and you get back to business and finish it with one of the host's own gags. Well done both Dave and Jamie

    Great TV

  • hello everybody,

I am italian and this dish could be considered tasty by you, but it's no way looking and tasting like Carbonara. Check this out for the real recepie watch?v=iERZIRQEIJk

  • That was amazing. He was seriously cooking and the dish looked amazing. Dave does this every time with every chef. It is like this middle America, I'm an idiot from Indiana clown act. It isn't meant to be condescending. Dave's mother did all of the cooking.

  • @eqsmooth Dave's a big boy now though and if he had middle America's best interests at heart, he would let Jamie teach them something worthwhile without wanting the attention.

I understand your point, I think it's a bit of both.

  • @beertron7 Dave always goofs on the chefs. He is very consistent. I've been watching since high school. Jamie is quite the chef as are many of the guests but Dave thinks it is hogwash. The chefs don't care because they are on American television getting exposure and promotion. When he dipped his $200.00 tie into Nigella Lawson's fish frying oil I almost spit out my shot of balsamic vinegar.

  • In the carbonara you don't have to put meatballs, but just bacon and egg, nothing else.

  • best carbonara I've ever seen :)

  • @anteracmacash How can it be the best when it is cream in it?

  • @oinkiaia try it before you judge

  • @anteracmacash is not a carbonara!!...carbonara ' s bacon,eggs and pecorino cheese!!

  • @fidro10 first of all, CALM THE FUCK DOWN...second, carbonara can have cream instead of cheese and meat instead of hamm

  • Whats the recipe?

  • actually drinking a glass of olive oil is a great way to aviod getting drunk on drink-a-thons.

unfortunately, instead of hangovers, you get a blasting d arreha the day after, since the oil wraps up the intestine and prevents the alcohol to be absorbed, along with all the rest there is.

  • "did u get any recipes from whores?"

    Letterman is unbelievably rude sometimes

  • @townsjim yes he is ..... his the class clown on his own show...

  • i swear letterman will put anything in his mouth

  • Does this guy make anything else besides pasta? I guess Gordon Ramsay was right he is a "One Pot Wonder".

  • @wankonbones well you've clearly watched many of his shows, not..

  • "did you get any recipes from whores?"

    priceless!

  • Americans are rude? At least an American chef would know what sweet breads actually are.

  • That was exceptional, as a segment and as testament to Jamie and David's ability to co-exist and entertain...all while cooking a dish I'd struggle to make given hitherto instruction and guidance. :)

  • hahahah this is priceless

  • it's called "sense of humour"

  • americans are so rude.

  • @samwilliams21 why are they.. that was a damn funny segment.. and just to point out, im british! .. and even if it was rude (we all have different opinions lol), how can you judge a whole nation by a few people.. thats very sad!

  • how come my sausage is so much bigger than yours

    LOL

  • lol he doesnt want to do that anymore xD

  • ITS A COMEDYSHOW ahmedsay75

  • yall got to love jamie

  • I believe the question was because of the famous Italian puttanesca (from "puttana," whore) sauce. And to play off of his staying with monks.

  • Enlightened! Thanks a lot!

  • paul was drunk lol
