Is this the Jap plane that flew over Sydney (Australia) in WW2?
My grandma said she saw it & it was a bi-plane....was greyish in colour. She never said if it looked like a sea plane or not...but I gather it obviously was.
That is a really fantastic piece of CGI! It really does look like old color footage from the '30s or '40s. I was fooled, too, the first time I ever saw this clip.
Now I have get the Tamiya kit out of my stash and build it!
@theBaron0530 You may be right, you may be wrong, but consider this. The Tamiya kit may be worth more un-built. It will certainly fly just as well either way.
For a sec you freakin' fooled me...I thought they brought one of the Pete's back to life it looked and sounded so real until the end where I knew there's no way in hell those ships are still around. Great job...they should hire you for making video game clips.
That is fantastic! I have seen some other CGI simulations on the Net tonight, and frankly, they stink. As a matter of fact, the other clips are no better than the stuff the History Channel has shown in its "Dogfights" series. Your clip is very good! It really does look like color footage from the period. You did a good job with the ships in the background, too. The large ship is a convincing IJN heavy cruiser or battleship.
Please make a CGI Aichi Grace B7 film !

That almost looked real until I saw the water wake when the plane landed. Good work!

Very good. Had me going for a while too. Even so, a nice view of a long time ago. Like the ships in the background. Looks real.

Very nice and imaginative work.
Ive got a nice painting jpeg of a Pete moored near palm trees with a Jap cruiser off-shore.
If you want a copy of it, message me.

Holy cow! What a great clip! Is this from the war, that is, is this genuine, original footage?
I have a kit of the Pete (by Tamiya), and I was surfing, looking for reference materials, when I found the link to this clip.
It's really great to see the plane in action!
Thanks very much for posting it!
