to me is to literal the shape of a heart... ok... and a don't love the idea of people working for him then is not JUST of jeff koons I THINK no ofense
@rcronico The bigger part of art is the art to *draw* (attention) You, being the second to comment (resp. lament) are also a second to Jeffy's success! So, don't bicker like a nigger (i.e. nigardly) 2 part is art 2 (by the bey) ((polymorph greeeeeets polymath theshitshooter))
@IlIlIlIlIIlI calm down mao. the issue of success is irrelevant. i know i am giving him more success by doing this (after all, any press is good press). but the issue at hand is the uniqueness of his work. he is no warhol, hirst, and murakami are all compared is the similar echelon of art, but i respect ah of them. i dont respect koons that much. i dont disrespect him, but dont respect.
@sclapione i dont understand why i am not allowed to state my opinion. and it's alsoklind of funny that you went out of your way to search my youtube history. i actually like most of koons' works, but that symbol of love piece is a failure.
@rcronico, I do think that he is being sarcastic and just playing a role throughout this entire interview; his whole life, in a way, is one elaborate performance piece... The real issue at hand here is that his work is something that our culture has chosen to glorify and put on this high pedestal, which says a lot more about the values of our times, as opposed to what this or that clown (in this case Koons) may say or do.
@nochnoipetux Meh, everybody's life is more or less an elaborate performance piece. The whole point to anybody's life is what you choose to throw out there for the consumption of others. Koons evades placing any meaning to his work and I'm inclined to agree with him that it's meaningless. As far as our culture glorifying it, this is clearly a case of a few elites glorifying the work...that really only speaks to the values of a handful of very rich collectors....not our culture as a whole.
@rcronico lol, do you not think that maby thats his best piece? i agree with you about this piece, but when i read your reaction it makes the rediculousness of the piece so obvious, that how could there not be a joke onboard. i think koons is being very serious and very funny at the same time, the contradiction is so great and for that i think he may be a genious
Love his art, says so much about American workingclass and middleclass in the 60s .... white picket fence, seaside, romance, porn, 80s ....
Very humourous and at the same time highly aesthetical but with that very certain factor

i think Koon creates so much misunderstanding because he doesn't explain all of his intentions...
...unless everything he said was, well, everything. o_O
