yaycharlietheunicorn, i don't think they sped it up. The spin is very easy, and if you watch the Olympics, that is how fast they spin (especially the men).

If you notice, she starts off slow, and due to the centripetal force, she speeds up... this is because she is squeezing in her arms and leg against the force.

I have seen people spin this fast before.. so i don't know if i believe this is the fastest...

Okay, for all the people claiming this is fake. Clearly she is NOT spinning at a constant 308 rpm...BUT - the device used to record the spin calculated that, at one point, she attained that velocity - probably for a few rotations or even less. It doesn't matter how long she maintained it - it was the fastest rotation she achieved in that spin, that's all that mattered. This was an electronically timed spin at a LIVE televised event in the US (the Today Show), no camera trickery was possible.
