Most of the public probably isnt ready for the sensei. Brian releases when he is ready and for good reason. The performance and range within these canopies are phenomenal. However its the pilot not the wing that makes the difference. far too many rely on buying the latest thing rather than really understanding and flying there current canopy to the limit before moving on or downsizing. This approach of getting the latest and greatest has put so many people into corners they dont come out again.
I am ready to down size my Sam to a 135. I need to get a smaller rig$ first. Hopefully the Sensei will be ready when I feel I have had enough time on the 135. No rush, but i can't wait. lol
I made a rule for myself when I started jumping. Any canopy I jump must be bigger than my bath towel....

IS IT NECESSARY to dive before you land?
tomterahedrob 3 years ago
If you're trying to swoop, yes. The dive is how you gain momentum to swoop over long distances w/ high speed.

very smooth landings

Hey Brian,
I'm new, but just bought my first rig and am going to take a canopy course from FasTrax next week in Orange, VA.
I'm just dang curious how fast you're going when you come out of that dive and start swooping. The sound of wind through the lines is awesome.
Nice work!

The airspeed on approach is about 64-65 mph decent rate after a 270 degree turn, 74-45 mph after a 630. Ground speed varies with wind conditions.

Do you have to dive in to get a safe landing like Luigi in his VX39?I mean to ask does your chute have a very high sink rate?whats the area? Thanks.

I will continue the testing. When it is done, I will let everyone know. I am taking my time with this one, it's too important to screw up...
