  • I am attracted to the academic side of both Swedish universities and institutions because I see Sweden as being among the best on the global stage - in accordance to (Times Higher Education World Rankings) and similar natural and lifestyle environments I think I could easily adapt to. However, I am unsure if the criterias for (international students) for graduates will be recognized or aligned to Swedish academic learning because my university may not be listed as high globally?

  • I'm still wondering if I should apply 2 the Uni in SE. The fact that it's SE alone scare me. I've lived and studied in EU and US. But because the scandinavian countries are really unknown to me I dont know what to expect. who can fill me in?

And also: how does SE deals with people of a different race. In the US for example I had some trouble to fit in sometimes because i'm coloured.

  • @summwerbrizz08 Well it's of course difficult to give a general idea of Sweden and how you'd perceive it. But I guess it is a good start to look at some of the videos here, and checking out the websites Sweden.se and Studyinsweden.se. You can also get in touch with internationals students in Sweden at SwedenInTouch.se.

  • ive got sweden nationality but i finished high school in america, can i still apply?

  • @biankitalin Yes. You will be in a different application group (since you don't have Swedish grades), but applicants from all countries are welcome.

  • I have unrealistic aspirations to study here XD.

  • wow Biomedicine @ Karolinska! nice aim:O

  • sweden is very clean lol

  • 86baho Get your facts right and go back to school for some grammar classes.

  • in sweden study too many internationalities

  • @86baho Such a shame that you think that way. We in Sweden see a multitude of nationalities as a benefit and enrichment to our society. A colorful mixture of ideas and sharing them with others is what drives development forward.

  • @swedense do you know if is it applied tuition fees for non-EU students ? if so , it's such a shame on "democratic" Sweden, it is discrimination then.

  • @so2murad It is true that Sweden now (like most countries) charges tuition fees for international students. For Swedish students, and students from other EU countries (because of EU legislation) the fees are subsidized by Swedish taxes. There will be some scholarships for students from non-EU countries to help them cover both tuition and living costs, and we hope that students from all countries will continue to enlighten the academic atmosphere in Sweden with their presence.

  • @swedense I also hope , because Germany still charges little and sometimes no charge programs for international students. I'm from a developing country but I can't find any scholarship valid for my country at studyinsweden.se .Sorry, do you know when those scholarships are going to be issued ?

  • @so2murad No news yet about the details of new scholarships. We will update Studyinsweden.se with the info as soon as we know.

  • @swedense thank you very much for the information. Hope them come before the application deadlines for the universities.

  • wish i could study here

  • why dont you?
