I've noticed that the vast majority of hypnotists wear black or purple...Derren Brown, yourself, and Jamie Smart. Of course, you all also have the british accent thing going on as well so maybe that's it too. But are the colors you guys wear aiding you in the hypnosis?

a lot of it is to do with stage stuff..its good for making you appear not as important as the voluteers, making you dissapear into the background as such.

people dont want to watch you, you arent doing anything, but your volunteers are.

i myself wear a black shirt and trousers when doing stage work.

being smart makes me feel good. Hypnosis can be effective with any accent, it's all in your voice tone. Yet the english do have the best voices. lol.

Although this was a pattern interrupt, the subject does go into a brief trance before I make my explaination. My language is very specific thoughout this demonstration to ensure she is able to relax deeply, quickly. Its all in the utilization. Cheers. G

This is the first time I've seen the handshake induction used with the subject actually aware of the mechanics and what's going to come next. I would have thought that if the subject knows how the handshake induction is done, wouldn't it not work?

The strange thing is that subconsciously this isn't the case. It makes it a bit harder that's for sure. But the induction is still there.

While she was aware of the procedure, she was also a very willing subject and so did not put up a guard. After all, all hypnosis is supposed to be externally guided self hypnosis.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. No pre conditioning, She has only ever experienced 1 other induced trance state some weeks before this video. The key to any good induction is utilisation.
