@TheEXpothead Read the Wikipedia bit about what "IT" really is and it'll fix the story for you :). IT's not really a spider at all, IT has no physical form within the physical universe. And they didn't kill IT, they simply killed IT's presence on Earth by channeling the power of IT's archenemy, another (benevolent) entity who also exists outside of the physical realm.

@1Buttonmasher it was only a spider for part of the movie if u knew anything u would know it was a shapeshifter and took on the shape of its victims fears and so a clown being the most common child hood fear it was pennywise the clown for the majority of the movie

this scene disappointed the shit out of me, it wasn't even the metal slugs that somehow wounded IT, it was Richies voice impressions, and Bill quoting "he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts" and Eddies aspirator that he shoots down the fuckers throat, before getting his arm ripped off. Movies dissapoint me, if you really wanna enjoy IT, read the book.

No. You may have noticed that throughout the book and movie, It appears to the Losers individually in different forms (mummy, werewolf, etc.), representing their worst fears, and when he gets them as a group, he's a clown, because it's likely that more than one are afraid of clowns.

It was an interdimensional being that crashed to earth eons before settlers came and awoke each time a terrible event occured and went back to sleep each time another occured.
