Pardon my french but i cant write it. So sad your parents did sell it. This is so awesome car. I hope you get one again soon. They wont be any cheaper anymore.
good shot at the end showing the great brakes (abs) this car has. it needs them though, heavy car. the smooth and quiet ride doesn't come free. got a 1991 with only 70K on clock that has been sound for 2 years now.
this has now 310000km on it and no problems so far. Even that notorious rotting cables have either already swapped or the nordic cold climate goes easy on the cables.
Diesel costs here 2 australian dollars per one liter.
average 11 liters/100km 11-15 in city depending the weight of my shoe. On the road with 3 persons and luggage last roadtrip was 3000m and average speed was 93kph and 10,4 liters/100km.
That's not too bad i think...if this roadtrip included some driving off the highway as well...you could guess that it might go with less than 10 on pure highway..and without that extra weight you had ?....brilliant
Yes, it truly is one of the best cars ever made. the 24V engine thoug could be cheaper to maintenance, like 12V model. (Sorry, i cant write german but i do read and speak it) :)
yes, but it was a very effective engine at the time it came out so...it's an old car you know... i thought of installing autogas but i'm not sure if i should do it
Autogas is illegal here in Finland :S Or, it is taxed so high its impossible to use if you don't have lot of money. Like E85 ethanolfuel too. Gasoline and Diesel are only good choises. But im planning to convert to E85, it s so easy and i get it from sweden easily.
hahaha here in germany autogas is very cheap and not illegal at all...it costs actually 0.65 € per kilogramm and until 2018 there will be no taxes :D so in this point finland sucks sorry ^^
Good on you man! I hope you get much enjoyment from it.

autogas in Australia is half the price of ULP and 60% cheaper than diesel. mind you we do have alot of it off our NW coast.

i'd bet it goes 9,9 or less. I don't have so easy driving style.

same as mine. 250km (50km heavy town traffic, 200km highway at 130 km/h -> 24,56 liters. for a 230hp engine it is ok.
