Guys, take it easy... ties happen about once in six years. Also, in the playoffs, there are no ties. In 2003, the St. Louis Rams and the Carolina Panthers went three overtimes in the playoffs. I'm not excusing him for not knowing, but I can understand it.

The problem with McNabb not knowing it was a tie is because HE IS THE CAPTAIN OF HIS TEAM. How are you going to stick up for an NFL quarterback that doesnt know games can end in a tie. To me, it is sad to see McNabb criticized and booed when eagles fans like myself don't realize how good of a qb he really is. I think that McNabb is not the problem! Andy Reid is definitely the problem. If you think differently remember games where it was 3 and 1 and they pass... and it was not even a screen pass which might have worked if they gave it to Westbrook. Or games where they just cant get points on the board with them less then 10 yards away.

It is the coaches job to know the rules and the players job to perform on the field.
