The Full Body Hasty Harness has applications in both training and rescue environments. In Training, it can be used with a Belay Line to establish Fall Arrest Protection to safeguard students practicing emergency bailout procedures. In a Rescue situation, the Harness can be used in conjunction with an Escape System to extract a civilian or firefighter out a window or off a roof.
This video shows only TWO of the MANY variations for tying a Hasty Harness and neither one may work for YOU.......
Webbing has many deployment options, but it's important to note that it's not ideal for every situation. The user must know when to deploy it and when not to based on the circumstances. Like any other technique or piece of equipment - Firefighters should always gravitate to the easiest method. In the environment that we operate in; Simplicity, speed and efficiency can be the keys to your safety and survival.
