  • @HeliTroutSlayer are you retarded? Who gives how u handle the fish as long as u keep it

  • Look into learning how to handle a big fish. You are doing harm by reefing him up by the gills.other than that nice laker dude

  • kudos to you for letting it go buddy

  • You should've weighed it first!

  • Great catch and video, but your killing me because I am watching a video and not out fishing! Almost as much fun as catching sturgeon on the Sacramento River with trout and walleye gear.

  • yeah ive gotten bigger in a lake in southern Quebec, nicer then that grayer and fight like 50 ponders when there only 10.

  • @bradcrosby8722 lmfao lame, come to sask up north and fish for one, ten you'll know a real 50 pounder

  • i love how people say they eat lake trout dont they know that the fish this guy caught is prolly 50+ yrs old and has a very high mercurey content?!?!?!?!?!

  • The rod wasn't even moving it was just bent

  • Wow

  • Props to having a video during the catch and fight!

  • thats a horse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • those guys come up lookin like trash cans! awesome!

  • is that a steel head

  • Lake trout!? That looks like the sea 2 me!

  • yeah lake michigan is huge its just about smaller then the state of west virginia. the lake is 494 km long and 190 km wide

  • its a big ass lake it looks like a sea when your on it.

  • I love it! That's a great fish, and great color like you said. I jig for lakers through the ice alot. Believe it or not we were catching them on 4 lb test on a scud fly (with a #16 hook) 12" below a castmaster in 70'. this winter we were over 170' with 4lb leaders on tip-ups. No 20 pounders though. We have caught a good number of fish in the 27"-32" range, which is respectable in the finger lakes here in NY. Everything is more fun with light tackle.

  • WOW! That things a TANK!!! Nice fish!

  • Great fish Eric! Keep up the great work man!!!

  • So cool!

  • Awesome stuff...keep'em coming! 5 stars!

  • thats what I'm talkin about. My longest fight of a fish ever was a big slob laker in similar size to that one give or take. Only mine was on 10 color leadcore which is not as fun but it was like reelin in a garbage can filled with rocks, just didnt wanna come up, awesome vid.
