Before they discovered oil the Arabs had been living on ivory and slaves and yet the press only condemns the european colonial powers.Even today there are slaves in the arabic world and we all know those stories of arabic diplomats who held slaves in Europe or US.We only got to know this because the victims managed to flee.In UAE they lured some women from Philippines to work as housekeeper and when they came they snatched their passport and locked them up.Slavery is still going on in islam!

The truth is, when Europeans first got involved in the slave trade, they were taking part of a system already established centuries before by the Africans themselves, both Muslim and non-Muslim. We fought a war at terrible cost that ended slavery in the U.S., but it's still going on in Africa today.

@bvindh Hey that was exactly the same i thought the moment i saw this.Ali always claimed he converted to Islam because he wanted to get rid of his "slave" name and religion.And then of all religions in the world he chose the very religion which caused so much pain and death among his people.Isn't that kind of sad and ironic?Someone should tell him

When the caliphate was abolished by Atatürk, black slaves were set free from the Topkapi palace. It's less then 100 years ago that in Istanbul there were still slaves guarding the harem of the Caliph.

In Egypt in the 1930S at court there were still eunuchs to wait on the ladies of the court. The middle ages died slowly in the 20th century world.

Funny how some muslims claim Islam ios agenst slavery. But the Quran even speaks about having sex with your slaves lol.

One muslim explaned this about freeing slaves. He said you can free the woman and make her your wife-slave ;D (Quran, beat, obay and so on)

But he dident mention any way to be free, if she was not going to marry him. Allso he dident say anyting about the kids or men. Actualy 50% of the kids... girls that is. Can allways be sex toys. Nice freedome hu? ^_^

This is why the best way o agrue agenst muslims, is to let them explain
