They make really good pets. They are nocturnal though. So, they do make a bit of noise when they wake up to eat at night. They also need to be handled a lot because they are shy, but come out of their shell once you play with them. They really don't have a smell. Although it is necessary to bathe them about once a month. Let me know if you need to know anything else. :)

I had one years ago but I just couldn't handle all of the spines. I mean, playing with an animal that hurt wasn't very fun for me. They are cuter then a bugs ear, though. ^^
