Got this on my PS3 and it's more fun than BFBC and CoD. Love being able to use the keyboard/mouse too, but the AI on some maps is horrid. The other team are somewhat organised and hunt in groups, my team looked like they just got out of a loony house, drunk! Sometimes you can overrun the other team on your own luckily.
I agree this games campaign sucked you're just playing as Marcus Santiago another completely unoriginal character from EPIC. All levels are the same shit and you have no clue what's happening in the story (the ending especially, wtf?).
2) If you've ever played the first, the campaign was just you playing as a character in a tournament, winning matches to get higher in the tournament. What Epic Games did was that they TRIED to give UT3's campaign an actually plot/story. Although it's the same thing everytime (Killing bots over and over every match), the teams were unbalanced in most matches, and there were different modes/cards for an advantage.
UT99 - UT2004 was like speedy Hardcore multiplayer shooters with speedy music you moved faster (even if you did not do double dodging in UT99) the taunts were fun, but in UT3 none of that is any more I do not hate the game but the game is a disappointment.
BTW/ Epic could have made some more maps, before Titan pack there were not many DM maps some remakes from the earlier games would have been nice.

WOW. It does have a plotline and thanks for pointing out that UT doesn't have the greatest campaign mode...we already knew. UT is all about multiplayer. UT3 is the 4rd in the tournament series and the 8th in the Unreal series, it is numbered by the engine it is running on. I agree with you. In the beginning I thought that I would progress through levels like in Unreal, but instead it was just winning a game in a map! I was like WTF? and was bored after a few maps.
I guess UT3 is fun for online play, but you can also go online with other games. It's great that (most of) the old weapons are back and the music is remixed from UT (plus), but it's sad about the armour (too big) and the campaign (maps/story).

UT3, like all other UT games is a multiplayer game. The single player is an afterthought on all of them. Other campaigns like UT99 are better than UT3's, but still an afterthought.

This game is like earlier UT but improved in every possible way. It also, still, has one of the best Unreal Engine uses EVER! Yeah, the campaign at least has a story(cutscenes), but its a tutorial, and the story is DUMB, I mean, "respawners", but still. U GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT THE GAME HAS A GOOD TUTORIAL???Much improved after Titan patch, too.Multiplayer in this game is FUN, y else would u wanna play the game FFS!?I dont care if the character is a ripoff, the game isnt based on the SP.

WOW. It does have a plotline and thanks for pointing out that UT doesn't have the greatest campaign mode...we already knew. UT is all about multiplayer. UT3 is the 4rd in the tournament series and the 8th in the Unreal series, it is numbered by the engine it is running on. It's not a rip-off of GoW because Unreal started many many years before, and its as same as the last ones, most sequels do have similarities you kmow but I think UT3 provides very much new content. UT has always been spacesuit oriented, so the bulky-ness has always been. Also, do you want to read text or kill things? The Necris vehicles are a great addition to the Axon of previous games. There are also online co-ops. I can assume you have the internet, amirite?

Sounds like you just suck at UT3. The game is the same fucking game as UT2004 with a different engine. Same vehicles, weapons, and almost all the same gametypes. Why anyone bitches about the game so much is beyond me. Some of the maps suck. "It's just a cheap ripoff of Gears of War". LMFAO NO IT IS NOT. i would have to disagree with this video.
this game has the original, intense competitive feel original shooters used to have. this game doesnt have a good storyline. it's built for a community of competitive shooters who just want to duke it out and showcase their skills. Games arent movies you see at the theater, so that argument about it SHOULD be invalid. I can understand you may want variety in a game, since thats what most are. but, this is the classics. Kill or be killed is the way :)

I have to say, I have played the UT series since day one and yes they really drop the ball on this version it was a big disappointment.
I have a system that runs this game without any problem at max setting.
But yes the game sucks bad!! and the numbers don't lie there is maybe 3 or 4 servers that have active players.
The game generated less the 30% of what all the previous versions did.
Very sad but it was a Good times in the old days.

Plus even though its the 4th in the series, they decided against calling it UT2007 ( Which is its original title ) and instead, since 2003 and 2004 were the same engine, they hooked them together, making this UT ENGINE 3

Unreal is fun, very fun. I'm sick of all these slow-and-steady FPS games where taking cover is a priority, which hasn't evolved since the last generation of gaming, some run-and-gun greatness like this or Timesplitters is awesome.

Also: I can play any "decent fighting game" on my PC with emulators and a pc joypad - but my favorite game is MUGEN and I have every good character from every good fighting game ever made, PLUS hundreds of totally custom characters that you can't get anywhere else, because they dont EXIST in storebought games. I never needed thinking in UT3. Whenever I tried to think, those stupid bots gave me some BS. I'll be waiting for Bad Company 2. UT3 is worse than Call of Duty. I agree with you. In the beginning I thought that I would progress through levels like in Unreal, but instead it was just winning a game in a map! I was like WTF? and was bored after a few maps.
I guess UT3 is fun for online play, but you can also go online with other games. It's great that (most of) the old weapons are back and the music is remixed from UT (plus), but it's sad about the armour (too big) and the campaign (maps/story).
Unreal and Unreal Tournament (99) are still tha shit :P

UT3, like all other UT games is a multiplayer game. The single player is an afterthought on all of them. Other campaigns like UT99 are better than UT3's, but still an afterthought.
Back then, the First Unreal was the single player component of UT basically.
When they made it, they figured, "we already got unreal, why make another sp game."
Same with UT2004 - "we have Unreal 2"
and for UT3 it was basically - "we have GOW"
And i like how UT3 feels more like ut99

cuz its addicting same reason why people still play original counter strike and ut 2004 just cuz it has bad graphics and old doesent make it bad game css is best fps still has more than 9000 players gamemodes are better than these other shit fps games with just capture flag and deathmatch and its still good without story its best fps all other fps just fail like call of duty series and medal of honor series those are the shit fps games

the gameplay never changed in from cs to css but look at ut series the gameplay never changed in that game ut3 is pretty much the same as 2004 doesent mean its bad tho theres just little more changes

in UT is larger selection types .i mean dm, tdm, ctf,last man stand ,warfare, i like it :)

css has dm, tdm, defuse the bomb, deathrun, zombiemod, minigames, escape, surf, rats so ya css has more gamemodes
