  • This reminds me of my Vic 20's that I still use. The vic also has a problem with case discolouring. I repaired at least three Vic's, and on the Vic 20 when the video chip goes its usually a sign that your power brick is starting to fail. It may be sending too much power into your commodore. You may need to replace the Vic II chip in your old c64 I'd get rid of the old power brick and get a newer one to replace it. As well I think you will need to put in a new fuse with the same amps or more.

  • C64C is not from 1996 but 1986! :)

  • @factor6 I think its just his accent. im sure he said '86.

  • Respond to this video... The C64C had a completely new motherboard, and they used all new processes to make the thing. Runs a lower voltage to the earlier model, different memory chips, 9v instead of 12v...... The motherboard is 1/3 the size if i recall.

  • @factor6 He said 1986.

  • Cool video. Really dig your (Swedish?) accent. It's cool that so many people around the world knows about these things.

  • is this scottish? anyway, who can give some advise on build in that sd-cardreader in a c64c?

  • no, he is Swedish i believe. and if you can make your question a bit cleaner, im sure i can answer it :)

  • you know i thought about buying one of these card-readers they are selling, but they are about 150$ !!! thats some money. how would one start to build such device?

  • want to buy me one soon...
