I know so many man and women who are nothing like what he described here, it's actually really interesting to observe these stereotypical behaviours from a psychological perspective, as this really highlights how out of balance the male and female brain is. Men who may dwell in there nothing box, and women who may overly complicate any and all matters.

He's seen a lot of things that he knows and loves (from his generation) deteriorate - hence whey he's into politics in the hopes that they 'might' go back to the way things were.
