  • thank you

  • ahh, the silent film version of Atonement. yes, very rare- practically impossible to get ones hands on. lol.

if Othello should be nicknamed "The Tragedy Of The Handkerchief" this should be nicknamed "The Tragedy Of The Letter". both of Robbie's apology letters are absolutely beautiful in their own way. it's such a shame, what happens to him. btw, i think 2:02-2:10 should be subtitled "yummy"

  • The silent film version??? Why? There is the music from the soundtrack!

Atonement is my favourite movie! I love it! I changed the movie a little bit. Because there is no wound, no water running into Balham Tube Station and NO death. But wihtout the letter and the accusation the movie wouldn't be half as good.

The scene in the library is great! It is really one of the best love scenes that have ever been shot!

  • i agree, definitely one of the best love scenes. and no nudity! that's simply unheard of these days. (not better or worse, just odd)

and this movie is one of the best too, no question

silent movies have music. they just don't have spoken dialogue. neither does this video. hence silent movie version

  • @softcelltainted22 RIGHT ON! anyway, the library is great because they are in love and its showng it, but apprioriatly (sort of).

  • @CeciliaTurner35 the letter and accusation was what the movie was ALL ABOUT. their being separated and briony's trying to understand the TRUTH about what really happened all those years ago.

  • @softcelltainted22 he gave the wrong letter to briony which had a curse word that they couldn't repeat unless in the movie. briony thought he was evil because of the word, when keira knightly understood. its rather sad because he dies from septicemia and she drowns. briony ends up writing a book called ATONEMENT with the ending changed from both dying to them meeting and being happy together. its a semi-happy ending and i cried so hard. its a truley painful movie and i would LUV to read the book
