The institution of slavery is older then america, it goes back to the days of the Phoroahs and probably goes back farther then that. Also many people of different colors were slaves at one point. The institution of slavery is older then america, it goes back to the days of the Phoroahs and probably goes back farther then that. Also many people of different colors were slaves at one point. Also the Great Country of England used slave labor, so you would of still had slaves. Hiroshima, ended the war, it was wrong but it did end the war with japan. You neglected to mention that the US had a Civil War in large part over slavery. Also, how many more years would you have preferred WW2 to have dragged on in the Pacific? If the Americans had not nuked Hiroshima and Nagaski would you have been OK with WW2 running into the 1950's and more people ended up dead? The British & French wanted to make an example of the Germans at Versailles and that spurred the rise of National Socialism. And something about Germany having/making a nuke: Germany was making a nuke but weren't really busy with it. The Allies stole some of the plutonium or so from the Germans, so they weren't able to make one in the next few years.

1. Slavery wasn't started by America.
2. Japs were closer to getting the bomb then anybody else until the firebombing of tokyo. Lessons were learned from the 2 bombings and research about cancer were skyrocketing.
3. North vietnam would be in countrol of most of southeast asia.
4. Someone else would step in because Kuwait is a major producer of oil(1991). We needed to overthrow the dictatorship(2003)

Not bad, but there are a few missing details.
1. Slavery was started in America by the Dutch and was actually far worse in the Caribbean and Brazil. A relatively small percentage went to North America and even less after the USA was a country.
2. The Nazis were developing a bomb, too. I think them having it would've been worse. Plus, it's not like the Japanese were a model of civility.
3. Vietnam War? See France. They wanted their colony and we caved.
4. Iraq? OK, that's definitely one.

I saw that vid. of "imagine a world without America", in which it isn't possible to comment so I'll do it here. There was a chance that there wasn't even WWII, since Germany might have defeaten the UK and France. By that the treaty of Versailles would never be there, so the German people wouldn't be bloody poor, Hitler wouldn't rise up as dictator of Germany and by that WWII wouldn't have happened, at least not in 1939. The whole world history would be different.
But both vids are bullshitty.
