  • Alice in Chains, i love you so much man :')

  • I literally grew up with Alice and chains my mom loved them so much she has a tattoo "layne staley" :"( I will luv em forever RIP ...

  • Underated!

  • you can like them both they are both amazing bands with the same troubles

  • No excuses that I knoe

  • I Love LOVE this song!

  • great insightful song, Staley I feel held many skeletons in the closet, including secrets of the music industry, other things along the lines of reptilian agenda... of course I won't go into that. nah but it's great even someone like me can relate to layne, and even if not, the stories are golden and philosophy filled, trials and tribulations, reasons and addictions, being haunted. The man's seen a lot and this song as simple as it is, rhyme and all, words... it's quite intricate, and deep. rock

  • Alice In Chains is one of those bands where they have over 20 good songs and this song is one of them

  • @Echenable ...i have never disliked an alice in chains song.

  • Music that never gets old

  • "You think it's funny, well you're drowning in it, too."

    Love that.

  • God this is brilliant, if only more bands were this good. RIP Layne.

  • grunge forever!

  • Ignorance.

  • 90's. You turn on the radio to hear Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, STP, Pearl Jam and a whole rabble of awesome punk/grunge bands. Now you get katy perry and lmfao shit. WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED!??!?

  • @InaGameComa The underground lost its leader, and went underground again.

  • lol anyone else notice at the end of the link for this video is /watch?v=AQ6BgTitt1E (BgTitt1E)

  • Nirvana WTDF!!!!

    This is AIC !!!!

  • Love the chill riff! Thanks for posting

  • I think you can safely say that this is called ROCK! So much more straightforward than all of these tiny, sub- sub- sub ghetto "genres" you're concerned with. How do you know it's Rock?.....guitar, bass, drums, bad ass vocal. There you have it....all these genres were invented by "music journalists" who are famous for NOT being musicians.

  • I know this has been said about a million times but .......I wish it was the 90s again :( or at least just for a day,Not only because of today's music.... Its life in general The 90s just seems so carefree and fun If I was my age now(16) in the 90s I'd probably be getting fake ids trying to sneak into their gigs and stuff.......& stalking Layne Lmao Just Loving Life :)

  • @TheMikeylover95 me too. if this was the 90s, i wouldnt even be commenting right now. and yeah, everything sucks dick now.

  • @pppedro0 Who cares, "metal fans" like you are disgusting

  • Writing in CAPSLOCK is like yelling inside a car with the windows up...NO ONE CAN HEAR you.

  • This reminds me of how music didn't used to just suck. But now it really is bad. Asking Alexandria? Nope. A Day to Remember? Nope. I apologize for my generation. I apologize to the fullest.

  • man, these lyrics are damn wrong. people, watch the music video!

  • @pppedro0 what are you retarded?

  • @austinbrake44 Juat Nirvana In General. Then again Alice In Chains CAN be catigorized as grunge. But they're both from Seattle, so I guess some of alice in chains' influences come from Nirvana. :D

  • @WolfenCrew fuck that shit, Nirvana is punk rock and Alice in Chains is heavy metal. they are both part of the grunge MOVEMENT, grunge is not a genre.

  • @pppedro0 you are mistaken nirvana is Grunge---alice in chains is Alternative r

  • THE THING ABOUT SHARING ON THE INTERNET IS WAY BEYOND ANY GREEDY PERSON'S COMPREHENSION. THE REASON THAT A PERSON CAN SHARE ON THE INTERNET IS BECAUSE THE INFORMATION IS THEIR OWN, AND IF A GROUP INHIBITS BASIC SHARING RIGHTS ON THE INTERNET, THAT'S LIKE SAYING THAT A PERSON CAN ONLY LISTEN TO ALICE-IN-CHAINS BY THEMSELVES IN THEIR OWN ROOM ALONE. SO INSTEAD OF CRIPPLING THE PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET, THE ESTABLISHMENTS RECOGNIZE THAT SHARING THINGS IS GOOD. THE INTERNET PASSED KINDERGARTEN!

  • This song makes me wanna cry....me and my friend tried to make planes so we can hang out...me and her didn't hang out for a while....but my mom said no for the sleep over and mom said no to her helping out......i was crying my eyes out.... :(

  • What album is this from?

  • @SophieShmophie123 Jar of Flies

  • @10Bones01 Thankyou!

  • No Excuses indeed

  • Awesome song from an awesome ep buy far from without any doubt from 1 of the most influenial bands from the early 90s alice in chains. In Loving memory from one of the best frontmen in rock n roll lane staley still me u and kurt cobain bro.

  • NO EXCUSES...not to like this song!!! XD

  • 200 people need to shut the fuck up about the dislikes and enjoy the music.

  • 15 peoples don't like this song.

    And that's all!

  • 15 people don't have No Excuses. ^-^

  • Grande Alice in Chains

    saludos desde Chile

  • Love the drums in this song.

  • Just sayin, you got so many of the lyrics wrong, it doesn't even make sense I don't know how anyone could mistake them like this

  • @TheFreakUnleashed14 Just saying, instead of complaining about the lyrics, maybe you should just listen to the song instead. :)

  • Dude knew what it meant to be a friend-

  • BEST A.I.C. song ever.....(or yet)

  • A 90's teenager and it's songs like these is why I will always be so damn proud of it!

  • This Song reminds me of Nirvana....

  • @WolfenCrew noooot really lol

  • @EnglewoodParkour I kinda meant at the beginning, but whatever man, Your entitled to your opinion :D

  • 'cause that's grunge <3

  • @WolfenCrew well der both grunge :D

  • @WolfenCrew really, cuz this song reminds me a lot of alice in chains. but, that's just me.

  • @WolfenCrew No it doesnt... It sounds like that "Seattle Sound. " ;)

  • @WolfenCrew WHOAH... what?! the guitar is so clean and you can actually understand what he's saying (no slight to nirvana)! maybe because they came from the same era or you like them both? but both bands have two COMPLETELY different sounds and messages... i see more differences than similarities. but here's a fun fact: layne and kurt were friends.

  • it' s bad when you know what does mean that your hands are bruised from breaking rocks all day... and when even in the middle of that you can love, well... you are still human...

  • My dad showed me this.... Best dad ever!!!

  • This song is about Layne and Jerry's friendship, and how much they loved each other. "If we change, well I love you anyway."

  • i cant even describe my feelings when im listening to aic. just brilliant...

  • <3 \m/

  • i have never commented again about "negative votes" and "thumbs down" but HOW can anyone dislike this song?! :O

  • I love this song!

  • True inspiration.

  • Alice in Chains is one reason why I was born earlier, and not during the generation of shitty computer generated music.

  • @Grungemusicislife You need to educate yourself about music. Let me explain it to your old and still stupid ass..people today like to listen to music that takes them away from their daily problems, which happens to be alot given the current state of the country. Hip hop and other forms of music today ( expect rock) churn out club hits on the regular because that's what the people want to FEEL. Whether you like it or not, it's what the masses like now and I completely understand.

  • @MrTufflong exactly what i try to do every time i hear this song

  • @MrTufflong its still shitty and still computer generated. you argued the wrong argument

  • @MrTufflong Its still a fucking generic piece of shit with no actual talent and the kids who thinks it's actual music are stupid blindfolded fools. Have you heard of the Rolling stones? AC/DC?Soundgarden?Nirvana?Def Lepoard? The Clash? Sex Pistols? Iron Maiden?Floatsam and jetsam? Sublime? The pilows?ZZ Top? Those band's are actual bands that make great sounding music and are revolutionary during their times. Your arguement isn't valid here, and by the way, I'm 14 and I hate this generation.

  • @blackcry22 Being that your 14, your comment reeks of ignorance and arrogance, but I'll let that go since I was like that too. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this is very true for music. Do you listen to John Coltrane? or Howard Mcghee? or Billie Holiday? or Miles Davis? or Bach..you probably don't bother to listen to Jazz or classical music. I do. I also happen to love Rock and Hip Hop. All I'm saying is love what you love, but learn to respect what others love as well.

  • @MrTufflong Ignorance and arrogance? I replied to your comment because your comment reeks of ignorance and arrogance, so doesn't make you a hypocrite? and I know how to appreciate music and I know some Jazz artists. If your saying is love what you love then why make such an ignorant comment in the first place and then turn around with all "Love" and "Respect", which i don't think you really don't have a right to say it since you basically contradicted yourself and Age is just a number

  • @blackcry22 that make you*

  • @MrTufflong and age is just a number which proves more of your ignorance. So you see? Your argument isn't valid here, besides if you hate the music then why are you here?:) and better yet, why are you still here?

  • @blackcry22 I already proved my point. I'm here because I'm a huge Alice fan, so lets just enjoy the music shall we.

  • @MrTufflong and i already proved mine. Lets shall then.

  • @blackcry22 You guys are respectable arguers. No mindless cussing and joking about moms, straight to the point statements.

  • @MrTufflong I failed to see how grunge's comment had anything to do with your reply. He was saying he doesn't like todays music. He wasn't asking why people like it.

  • not to be a dick but

    Everyday

Something hits me all so cold

    Find me sittin' by myself

    No excuses that I know

    is the chorus

  • Great song

  • Happy birthday man, you´re marvelous

  • Happy Birthday dude

  • I already know the lyrics, but the song made me come here. :)

  • you're late on the lyrics and music sync

  • This song makes me wanna have a beer & start dancin . <3

  • @PinkXTCRose Makes me want to have a beer and try to harmonize with them!

  • 15 people hopefully hit the wrong button!

  • 15 people have no excuse for disliking

  • And i love the picture at the ending. It fits into the song. Almost makes me wanna cry. lol but alice in chains will live on forever in my heart.

  • The 15 people who hate this song can go get aids. :) Because this song is just wonderful. Gives me the goosebumps everytime i hear it.

  • @Destructionboy23 They have No Excuses. They need to have a sit in the Angry Chair before the become a Man in a Box. Heaven will certainly be beside them as it Rains when they Die.

But at least the song puns are Over Now...

  • @Destructionboy23 I love this song, too; I always think of sunshine whenever I hear it. The 15 idiots who dislike this song couldn't lick the bottom of Layne Staley's shoes; rest in peace, man, the rest of us love you and we miss you.

  • Layne Staley R.I.P

  • 15 people have no idea what real music is.

  • @Twoboredmen They probally got corrupted by Lil Wayne :(

  • Too bad Layne didnt find peace of mind..

  • You my friend, I will defend, and if we change, well I love you anyway ^_^

  • 3:09-3:18 best part of this song

  • I love this song on a sunday morning. Just having a nice drive in a car in the backroads of the country.

  • so relax ... so nice

    AIC for ever!

  • so peace full

  • This is one of the best songs ever by Alice in Chains and I already have this song too on GH: Metallica. I have the Wii version of GH: Metallica with the song "No Excuses" by Alice in Chains on it. It's simply the best. I was still 2 years old too back in early '94 since I didn't turn 3 until August of that year. This song also sounds like a Beatles song almost too and even my Mom told me that when she first heard this song, she thought it was a song by The Beatles as well or something.

  • LOL Of the 14 people here who clicked the dislike button, they made excuses about that instead of not making any excuses.

  • This song rocks and it's currently one of my favorite songs ever by Alice in Chains. It's so awesome. So far, my favorite songs by Alice in Chains are "Man in the Box," "Would?," "Them Bones," and "No Excuses" and I even have those songs on a few of my video games too. I have this song right here, "No Excuses," as a playable song on the GH: Metallica music video game. I also have "Man in the Box" on RB2, "Would?" on RB: Unplugged, and "Them Bones" on GTA: San Andreas, GH II, and GH: Smash Hits.

  • This toally descibes me

  • to the 14 people who disliked this, sorry, you were never meant to understand AIC, so stop seeing their video's and get a life.

  • I'm so dumb, I pushed dislike by mistake! :/

  • Miss the 90's man, Tomb Raider (the original), grunge rock, Super Nintendo, Home Improvement, Quantum Leap, Windows 95, and a Plymouth Sundance.

  • @sporejunkie89 Wilson was freaking epic.....

  • @sporejunkie89 Don't forget, one of the GREATEST FPS Shooter games was released for PC in '93, I think, wasn't DOOM released in '93 for the PC? Correct me if i'm wrong.

  • @sporejunkie89 a joint with a glass of whisky on ice and some alice in chains to have it all in my brain and you can check it to be in the 90's too ;)

  • @sporejunkie89 I highly agree with you, sporejunkie89. The 90's was the best. I was even born in the 90's too. I was born in the early 90's though back in 1991 and some of the great songs that came out in the year I was born were songs like "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, "Alive" by Pearl Jam, and so much more. The SNES video game console was even released in the same year that I was born too. The 90's had such great music as well as awesome cultures.

  • @sporejunkie89 gotta say...some great memories were in the 90's. i still have a super nintendo, and i was just playing some super mario world 10 mins ago lol...but yeah, i remember home improvement, hell every friday was TGIF, and there were other shows that came on after i got out of school that i loved. fucking fantastic..some of the best days of my life. :) good post man. took me back momentarily.

  • @jw11432 thanks, a lot

  • @sporejunkie89 me too dude , honesty the 90's was better ... much better than this years

  • @MrFranciscodude Tell me about it... Sundance was probably one of the best cars I ever had, bought it in '91 and it was awesome. I was a manual tranny, but in '98 went over a bad pothole in Minneapolis and knocked the gears out, had to sell it. BTW! Did you know you can install Widows 95 on a PSP?

  • @sporejunkie89 yeah you're right man XD i wanna do that

  • 13 people misclicked
