So it's safe to say that the right handed kuji in(middle finger) is based on the(spiritual) right hemisphere of the brain, and left hand(index) is of the left/logical brain?
Sorry Mr Lepine, but you are not a Buddhist Bishop and what you are teaching is not Vajrayana. This is a sad spectacle: you are misleading honest people with this material. This is not mikkyo, this is not Shingon, it is not Tendai: it is "pretendai."
Some of your commentary my friend is not incord with scripture ...whether you're right or wrong is arguable...the Buddha left the hindu caste system and reformed the spirituality in a different direction. He also did not conform to hindu systems.
I have this guys book on the kuji-In!!!!!!!! This is awesome, he explains the differences between what the ninjutsu teacher tells me and what his book says! AWESOME VIDEO
Mike, some ninja clans started with samurais that where deafeted or where ronnin so they were to the mountains an began to train with another variation of monks. They stayed there had family there time and generations passed and another system was created, we ninjas are not saying that we have the ultimate truth about Kuji in, in fact kuji in an spiritualism was used in arts and other kind of non religious ceremonies.
Please see the You Tube Cips for the Way of the Samurai. Number 3 & 4. were master Atake explains about the 9 hand seals. A much older version of what I see associated with the Ninja. Plus he draws cast the spells in the palm of his hands and also draws them on paper so they can be use to heal people. The head master of their Dojo claims that the ancient Samurai are the true keepers of these spells. Looking forward to your reply.
Initially they were called as MUDRAS (Yoga-Mudra).
It seems these seals were introduced in Japan via Mikkyo Budhism. It is very old, actually much older than Samurais. If you see the pictures of Dharuma/Bodhidarma, you will see he is doing a Mudra.
I know that...! Maha teaches about it's orgins. But is there any real proof that it was practiced by the NINJA clans? The answer is no. The legacy of the true NINJA clans is lost forever. That fact remains, that the only real written evidence of the Kuji-in is by the ancient Samurai training schools....!
The oldest written document with the 9 seals is a chinese document called Bao Pu Zi, by a daoist nammed Ge Hong, how got it from the hindu Buddhist that went to china. That's a bit before year 0 (christ). You can see it in the book called "Qi-Gong Empowerment" by Shou-Yu Liang, a Chinese Qi-Gong master, and a daoist.
I have herd a lot of talk about the Ninja with regards to the 9 hand seals. But it is my understanding that the Samurai were the original casters of these ancient Hindo spells. There is mention of it in the movie Shogun from the James Cavell novel. Cavell even goes as far as to say that the British salors taught it to their childern. In England kids use to cross their fingers, close thier eyes and wishper a wish in hopes that their team to win a foot race in the school yard. Childern still do it
Hellow all friends, this is the warior writing. This is working man,he is not sincere. in vajrayana there is no God and no Devil. I love you and noone will never destroy us.
ok i do get what your saying on the end about the differance between the 2 hand grestures. but i'm not looking for the 2 as a seperate style. spirituality and power. i'm looking for them as together as a whole. using the psyic abilities of the spiritualist and power of the ninja warrior. is this possible? &have you ever felt real psyic abilities?
this is ridiculous he does not know what he is talking about the kuji-in was shingon not tandai and he is not very noligable about it he is also almost sertenly lying about being a bishup and actualy ninja magic is more like tonkyo
I know not much about Buddha, lat time I saw him he was sitting on a desk on some asian restaurant i8n Miami, ( he´s quite a quiet fellow), and I studies NINJUTSU ( not ninjitsu), nevertheless, the one thing I did learn, was that by seeing other peoples errors, i fail to see my own, and, that, in itself, its a complete failure of one´s very life and reason for living. So someone is wron, Ive been known to be wrong myself before, a time...or two.
This is laughable! Buddha was not Hindu, he didn't achieve enlightenment through the practice of the Vedas, sorry. He practiced with a group of individuals referred to as ascetics. He developed his practice only after having seen the error in their ways of life-threatening self deprivation. His philosophy was innovative, and the path he followed to enlightenment was very unique. It was through the REJECTION of the religions and practices of the day that he found the profound path.
I agree with you. The Buddha was not Hindu "per se", but he lived in the area where the hindu and vedic teachers were. The Buddha rejected the religion, but did practice the techniques he was shown from it. Anyhow, the Kuji-In manras come from an Indra ritual.
@prabhasattva Buddha didn't reject "Hinduism", ie. the Sanatana Dharma, ie. the Perennial Philosophy. No one can reject it because that which is perennially true, whatever it may be, is the essence of the Dharma. What he rejected were the shallow doctrinal disputation and self-indulgent, ego-centric practices into which the Hinduism of his day had temporarily degenerated. Thus his ontological skepticism and pragmatism regarding spiritual practice.

Kuji-In actually came from Taoism. You don't seem to know much about the role of mantra in Buddhism.

Ninja this and Ninja that... Why does the Kuji-in have to be all about the NINJA?
The fact of matter is that the Kuji-in was not a BLACK ART for killing! Its was a Healing Art use by the Samurai!

Mike,
Actually Kuji tradition comes from India.
