  • Why is the main coil not straight in parallel with the secondary coil? I would think they would need to be even with each other to produce the inductance.

  • hi im currently trying to make a coil bt i dont understand how to primary coil is connected to the secondary and vice verca ?

  • Is this like a transformer? Taking current into the lower thick coil, and sending it from there to the higher thinner coil producing more volts to the ball on top? So much that it sparks to random metal objects?

  • beautiful

  • great work!

  • and you have all that fun all day long! Men I can imagine how insanely happy you have to be all the time.

  • Beautiful bit of design and construction, pleasure to see it. Thanks.

  • if you know how can you make a video showing us how to make it create music ?

  • awesome work

    :D

  • do you need a liceince to have one of these

  • @yo90bosses no, you can build them at your own ;)

  • This guy knows his shit lol.

  • Nice stuff and great 90' track :)

  • tesla perfect for killing water monsters

  • nice job, i like your clean working room :-)

  • what is the song????

  • why would you make this?

  • @MrBeatz187 Why wouldn't you make it?

  • Loved it !!!

  • What is the secondary coils linked too on both ends? I know one end is towards the sky, but is the other a ground? And how come it doesn't short itself to the ground as opposed to sparking in the sky?

  • Fantastic work.

  • Legit. Kudos to you.

  • "Featured on Hacked Gadgets"

  • What kind of paint did you use to cover secondary? (from 2:15)

  • nice job. Nikolai Tesla would be proud

  • wouldnt that be an oudin/tesla hybrid? tesla separated the grounds, and it appears you connected them? maybe im wrong, just wondering

  • Not to b e a spoil-sport, but which one of these contraptions could one use to run a small home with? I'm not an electrician, so I'm not up on all the specifics.

I have been thinking about using solar panals, I know the price has dropped quite a bit in the last couple of years. TIA

    SCF

  • It is perfectly natural to be jealous...

  • what wire you using

  • Hello freeman of the land:) I am impressed i dont know circuit's as i am not a electrican, but I am going to africa I would like t build this over there for the needy poor. I am a mechanical engineer, the building is not a prob, the rest would need some help..would you be kin enough to get in touch, bjmahrra@gmail.com..Thank you very much for the knowledge you share..love and light

  • Mr. Commander sir, do you think this would work retalitivly the same on a 1/2 scale, or just winding the secondary on a 1/2",3/4" or 1" coil form and moving the primary closer to keep the same 15mm space closest to secondary? very nice looking coil, Im trying to make one similar on a smaller scale and power it with a 7.5kv 30ma nst. Your comments, advice, and response would be greatly appreaciated sir thank you. Dont stop now man your on a roll!

  • can u make me one

  • what song is this?

  • Why in the world would you put music on this video--it ruins it

  • you must smelt a lot ozone when turning it on, didn't you?

  • Hi, does someone know whether it´s necessary to use a primary coil with copper wire of 3 mm in diameter?

My fellow and me are building a similliar tesla coil (much more ugly...however). I´m just asking because they are quite rare. Is it destructive for such a tesla coil if you use wires with a smaller diameter?

Yeah so thanks for your help!

  • I am interested in this tesla light bulb, could reach me at gtmplace@yahoo.com

  • thanks for your great work could please get in touch with me at gtm@yahoo.com i did have a proposal for you.

  • so on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being a snap together model kit, and 10 being a car, how hard was this to build?

    Also, how dangerous?

  • what are the dimentions and parts needed?

  • 10 people wish they wer you

  • you truly are the tesla commander, have you made one to fit on a tank yet?

  • FUCK YOU MOTHER NATURE >:D SCIENCE!

  • Is there a practical application for these things?

  • @tjpld its basically a transformer which are used to get mains electricity to the correct voltage to be transferred over the grid to your house so you can power your pc to watch this video

  • ... Are these dangerous?

  • @Hazar629 If u can stand ~500kV then it's not

  • "your tesla coil is now loading"

  • so what would happen if i move my finger slowly towards this thing o:

  • What is the rod in the center of the plexiglass tube comprised of?

  • Would I be able to lengthen the lightning bolts be creating a seperated multi gap series of neodymium magnets?

  • I always wondered, since the wire is so tightly wound up and its sides are in contact with each other, why does it still act as a winding and not a straight, tube-shaped conductor?

  • @Costas17G The wire is coated.

  • @TeslaCommander Oh... Thanks! that answers a lot...

  • @TeslaCommander

How much time does the winding of the secondary Take?

  • @TheSnailfan I think this coil was about 8-9 minutes.

  • @TeslaCommander

I Also made a TC. The winding has about 500 Turns, but i needed 1 hour to make. :)

  • @TeslaCommander

    D: I got 2 hours for 400 Windings.

  • @TeslaCommander lol i can barely wind my solder without gettign extremely bored/annoyed "i use my xacto knife to coil my sodler after i use it so it dosnt get all messy"

  • @Costas17G Tesla-great Serbian scientist!

  • unce unce unce unce

  • Tesla would be proud. :D

  • Hey!

in ieder gevaal heel gaaf gemaakt!

    greets ;3

  • Nice

  • Congratulations! Your workmanship and film making are excellent. I liked the use of hand drawings and handwritten formulae to explain details. Anybody who wants the actual information just has to pause the video. Very clever!

  • I freaking love this vid, but does the coil heat up the acrylic to a point where it melts because it's beautiful and I would hate to try this out just to find out that its going to get ruined at the end

  • Very nice, i love it :)

  • Very nice construction.

  • triple mot stacks? or 2 mots and a choke? i have a huge 8 inches triple mot stack tesla coil, but i work in AC, 180cm sparks (peak) someting like 150cm continous

really incredible video man! loved this tiny and POWERFUL coil!

  • what were to happen if u put urr hand on the thing while its on? lol

  • (please reply) What happens if you touch the purple thingys?

  • i want to buy one so bad :(

  • what are you spraying it with at 2:20

  • @jayjones8686 I am spraying it with acrylic varnish, which bonds perfectly to the tube.

  • @TeslaCommander to stop it all falling apart?

  • Is it wrong that I masturbated to this?

  • DJ Bobo ftw

  • beautifullest uve ever seen !

  • In the idiocratic usa Tesla's machine fuck you

  • Nikola Tesla - the Serb, Slav. If those years he knew that the USA will kill Serbs in 1999, he would create the technology which would destroy the USA

  • Superb craftsmanship I must say, well done!!

  • is there a way to harvest and measure the voltage coming out of the tesla coil?

  • What was that spray that you used on your coil?

  • That was sweet you should do a videos showing how you connect the wires to make it work

  • Thats really sweet!

  • Congratulations.

  • Aardig gek maar wel met je handjes afbijven als ie aan sta bzzzt

  • Very nice one. Clean jobs.

I've forgotten this project but I think who I'll continue them :-).

  • turn it into a weapon next or use it to power one either would be cool

  • Where does one get that thick of an acrylic block? And how did you cut it so smoothly?

  • very nice and neat one. it looks like t works great and look very well built. good job i love it.

  • Very nice use of harmony with the audio. I sincerely hope you're not "offed" any time soon, having dealt with such risky business. Applause!!!!! FTW

  • real nice job, makes thing work even better

  • wow super vidéo bravo !

  • Hello people i have a question: I can use a tesla cloil for Birkeland Eyde process to make nitric acid ? Thx:)

  • why did you do this? That's a little bit of money you have there in acrylic and tools.

  • Nice to see accuracy looks GooD..I see in youre work love to make somting i am doo thath long time all reade. Good to have frends like thath. Send me a messege if you like to Make Flying Tube which i have Disine to made that FlyingBodyPils. Its like a new sport Body disiene...

  • good job

  • how did you cut the acrilic so accuratly because i got some of this at home and its is a right pain to cut

  • NICE, very nice.

    Thank you

  • nice u are smart :D

  • Isnt it a bit dangerous ? all that lightening . Is there a way to make it safe ? Looks like you might get a shock if you touched it

  • can you build me one?

  • This is great! I'm studying electric fields in physics now and reading about tesla. How much money did all the components cost?

  • What was your input voltage?

  • What is the song? I love it.... I LOVE your Tesla coil too!

  • IN ENGLISH PLZ

  • i am making a TESLA-COIL for a english projjec.

can some 1 plz post a vid on how you make this EXACT TESLA-COIL.....

    PLZ REPLY...

    THX...

  • How many winds on your coil?

  • hoe heb je die buis verkregen?

  • You got a wow from me, its nice to see photos from creating process, i always hate to do that :)

  • Thats fantastic. Where did you get those buckets filled with capacitors from XD

    @ 1:23

  • Good very good ,а чё большую теслу непродемонстрировал

  • neat, i could build one now if i had the materials

  • good video,

  • Enorm resultaat zo te zien, voor dat kleine dingetje!

  • Why is everyone saying stumbled?

  • A work of art! Absolutely beautiful. The white glow from the bottom, the streamers and the materials, everything is amazing. It brought tears to my eyes, I'm not joking. I'm very impressed, good work!

  • WTF

  • stumbled from bc

  • My bad, it's actually with one s in Dutch.

  • @TeslaCommander Don't reply to stupid comments like this! I like the video!

  • @TeslaCommander so you are dutch me too

  • @aidomcq

Then again it says ".nl" at the web adress which probably means english ain't his / hers native language

  • @aidomcq To you and to all the other grammar Nazis just because someone makes a mistake (all people do) doesn't mean they CANT do it. in fact they probably don't make those mistakes most of the time. its pretty annoying how you Nazis just cant contain yourself every single time someone makes a spelling/grammar mistake. that, to me is worse than the mistake itself.

  • @infomaster4 You should put an apostrophe in "cant"

    :P

  • @aidomcq they're dutch bro xD duhh.

  • @aidomcq Just because he cant spell success right does not mean hes dumb. I cant spell it for the life of me but im dyslexic and am I dumb? no. So next time before you leave a comment like this use your brain.

  • @aidomcq Maybe you didn't know this but intelligent doesn't equal perfect. Even the most intelligent people in the world make mistakes. Just like your parents, when they forgot the condom and you were born. Sucks right?

  • @aidomcq If you are being a grammar Nazi at least use capitals.

  • @aidomcq you are obviously perfect i guess

the biggest mistake ever made was by your parents, making you

  • What Edison did, Nikolai Tesla did better.

    Stumbled.

  • Stumbled from Texas, Well Done!

  • anyone know the bg music here?

  • 5:01 ;)

  • check 5:00. it says who the music is

  • @benx009 здр как си?

  • stumbled from orlando, its the inside of a static ball. woohoo?

  • nobody gives half a fuck where you stumbled from

  • stumbled from Pittsburgh, Pa.

  • love me stumble...cincy what up

  • stumbled ATX!!!

  • stumbled from cincy

  • Stumbled from N.Y,.Interesting

  • How does a tesla coil work?

  • basically it builds up and stores vast amounts of static electricity

  • "stumbled from your mom" blah blah quit being gay noone cares where you are from

  • Stumbled from Indianapolis, IN

  • @cfrend Stumbled from Fort Wayne, IN

  • stumbed from pomona, ca

  • stumbled in from minneapolis. so cool!

  • stumbled from CT

  • Stumble from NC

  • stumbled from Chester PA

  • Stumbled from Pittsburgh, PA. Very very very awesome.

  • that was the most impressive thing i have ever seen a single person construct. The part where you wrapped the copper wire looked like it took way more patience than i have.

  • Sumbled from Nordborg, Denmark

  • Stumbled from atlanta, georgia!

  • i also stumbled

  • Stumbled from MIchigan.

  • Ooo, stumbled.

    Very cool!

  • wow...beautiful....even thou i dont understand any of these lol xP...great job dude ^^

  • god? he thanked god?

  • @krillansavillan google "tesla coil"

  • @zmaino

i have, the most i can get out of it is that its either a project or hobby, OR it creates free energy.

how would we utilize that? could it run my house?

  • NERD.

  • Polpotsdog = Special Needs. it's ok buddy, we can find you a replacement brain in the families fish bowl. Bubbles as gonna get flushed any how.

  • Nerds created the exact tool that your using to make fun of them, since you must be a little bit slow to figure out what that tool is, it's the internet.

Enjoy continuing your existence not contributing anything to the world and being a brown shit stain on the underpants of society.

  • Nerds rule the world.

You work for them, you may not know it, but you do.

I'm just waiting for WWIII to break out between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.

  • i may sound stupid, but... whats the difference between a TC and a Solid State TC?

  • very nice coil :D...thats the best small tc i've ever seen ...good work man

  • btw, WHAT was sprayed to the secondary coil? was it clear gloss paint?

  • nice.. very clean build... :) no primary tuning?

  • I didnt tune this coil, I calculated everything before constructing it and it works well enough for me to skip tuning;)

  • @TeslaCommander could you post a vidoe of the calculations & how to do them?

  • how much did it cost to built, acrilic tubing, cooper and power supply? is there any place cheap where u can buy reliable material, like Deal Extreme or so? what is needed to connect it to a piano or so, another power suply, AC?

  • It cost me nearly nothing to build, i got most parts from school and some just lying around. I think the MKP capacitor bank is the most expensive part, 80x €2.50

This teslacoil works on a rotary spark gap, so it is impossible to hook it up to a piano or keyboard.

  • i must have this song. what's the name?

  • I love watching as the streamers slowly ionize the air around it and grow outward. Well done! Must be great at parties.

  • that is amazing...

    but...

    can that electricity kill you?
