I resigned my union membership with the help from the National Right to Work Foundation. The ex local union tried to have me fired on trumped up charges and lost. I had my car damaged twice in the parking lot. They tried to stop me from resigning but I have never had a second thought about doing it. I am more honest and have my integrity.

I personally have witnessed numerous attacks by members of Local 17. They threw coffee in the faces of my employees on the jobsite, screamed childish threats, and basically acted like babies because the union was paying them to do so while they were on strike in 2002. My boys were union, just not THEIR union. Union police officers did nothing when they showed up except laugh and joke with the thugs. "Can you prove who threw the coffee?" they asked. He gets paid $120.00/month for being President. We recently finished the biggest highway project in WI history. My experiences as a union member who voiced differences with my union on occasion acquainted me with the similarities organized labor had with organized crime. My observations of the union movement since severing my connection with organized labor has only strengthened my conviction that organized labor and organized crime are joined at the hip.
