Hey man, did you ever get around to trying it with guitar pro? I'm thinking of buying this thing but can't think of any other reason I'd need midi except rock band and guitar pro so if it works good with guitar pro that'd be worth it.
Hi Sonic, Thanks for trying to help. I got it working with the PS3 again... It was the batteries! I felt kinda silly as soon as I changed them as a last resort and it sync'd straight away!
Hi do you know how to switch back to play mode? I've been using my pro guitar in GarageBand and it no longer syncs to the wireless receiver. I can still use it in GarageBand but I still wanna play Rock Band with it on PS3. Thanks

Just to make sure I understand it well : If you plug a MIDI cable to the guitar and to a keyboard with MIDI ports, the guitar will play the keyboard's sounds and notes ?
hi, i was curious if you could tell me what midi signals get sent if you overdrive (tilt the guitar) or press any of the buttons. i assume it is all sysex, but have been unable to find anyone who knows the exact code
@ravnibob If you mean the guitar button then it's good. It shouldn't make light. Only the controller-number LEDs shoud light up when turning guitar on.
Good video man, i'm a bit of an idiot, and might be asking alot. I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to computers though. What would I need to achieve this setup? A Soundcard? If you're too lazy to respond i dont blame you.
You can use a soundcard with MIDI input port but it will not sound good. I have used keyboard synth but you can use any device with MIDI in.(Sound modules, workstations, pc software like FL Studio or Cubase etc.). And remember that Mustang Pro uses first 6 midi channels so for example ZynAddSubFX will receive only high E string signal. Audio was recorded directly from keyboard to soundcard.

Hi! When the guitar is connected to an synthesizer or sequencer what Midi channel does it output on? I've heard it channels out through channel 1 through to 6. Is this true or does it all go through one channel? What are you using as your MIDI synthesiser?
@Seamoonvs It's true. channel 1 - High E 2 - B string... and channel 6 is low E. Synth is Yamaha PSR-400 as i said in annotations and it's showed at end of the video.

@originalvonster I don't really know because mine guitar is working fine in both modes without doing anything.
Have you tried to press sync buttons on guitar and USB receiver simultaneously?
