  • All in all though, a good rendition of a beautiful and moving arrangement.

  • Yes I do. The soprano(s) killed it, there was one with too much vibrato for this song who over sang the choir. Also the basses were not quite loud enough, they were hidden by the choir instead of blending with it.

  • Too bad Stroop didn't want it this fast... I know... He conducted our All State Choir...

  • @enilrebmun Tempo is relative to the composer's desire, but also the conductor's vision and the choir singing the work. Do you deny that this is a beautiful rendition?

  • No don't get me wrong, this is beautiful but I prefer the smaller Choirs where you can define the individual voices.

  • @Martinmartyboy the point of any good choir is to blend all voices together to sound like one unified voice no matter what the size of the ensemble. If you can pick out individual voices then it's not a very good choir. Blend and balance is far more important than individual talents in the choral setting. This is a beautiful rendition.

  • wow...

  • I have been comparing all the choirs here, small, large, too quiet, too loud, too much coughing etc etc. This one is lovely but maybe too large. One becomes very critical.

  • @Martinmartyboy man idk what you mean by that because this recording was absolutely fantastic.

  • I absolutely love this song.
