Actually, if you do your research, we started sending advisers to Vietnam during the Truman Administration...and slowly started adding more as the years went on. It escalated dramatically under Lyndon Johnson, so it was more LBJ's and Nixon's war than JFK's, Truman's, or Eisenhower's (or Ford's).

I have some facts for you. Democrat LBJ was president during the ESCALATION of Vietnam from 1963-1969. LBJ favored the war effort to conceal his "Great Society" progressive social programs which were flops. He was also president during the Tet Offensive in 1968 - disasterous to LBJ's approval ratings. It was Nixon who started troop withdrawels in 1969. If I am a lier, then YOU need to put some facts up to prove it.
