Awww, an Easter baby. Is he pretty friendly? I imagine if they're given love at an early age they WILL be, kinda like when I was told hand fed babies are the best to get. I miss that little robin I took in after he found his way to my stairwell, and although he resisted me trying to capture him, he took to me pretty quickly. A little baby, he was hungry. I just couldn't ignore him.
@hotman2211 I understand that would do more harm than good. I read of someone who helped a butterfly out of a chrysalis and then it couldn't fly well because without much struggle it didn't have the strength or something like that. I imagine the same kind of thing is true for a bird hatching. Some of them have to struggle in order to thrive. If it had been me, I would have WANTED to help it, but I only would have if it looked like its life was threatened. He's probably a stronger bird for it.
@Lavenderrose73 It just sounded like they were trying to make it some religious thing. I wonder if they would have done it if it was hatched on Easter Monday.
You don't want to remove the shell unless the bird is in extreme distress. It could be attached to the shell and you would tear it's skin. They push out part way and then rest for a while. The shell fragments help hold in heat and humidity.
I was playing football in the garden when i shot the ball up in the tree and 3 eggs fell down and smahed with small birds in it :S pretty nasty so i picked a spoon from little sisters sandbox and droped dem into our neighbors garden haha :D
cool we brang ou chicks in on easter sunday. they hatched a couple of weeks b4 but ours are going strong. check my channel out, i got a couple of videos on
I am just amazed with anyone who can succefully raise baby birds from day one. WOW. I raise babies too. But only after the momma has done her job for at least 3 weeks! Amazing work you have done here.
he is doing very well his eyes are now just about to open and he is going longer between feeds ! we are shocked he has held out he is a real fighter! there will be a new vid soon!
Everyone give thanks to Ronnie Parrot for giving up his life for us! Crucifying himself and resurrecting!

What does Easter have to do with it?
Brennna 9 months ago
@Brennna According to the title itself, it was Easter Sunday when the baby hatched.

@Brennna Even if they were, you make it sound like a bad thing. Lenny saw a new life the day Jesus came back to life. I see *no fault* with that.
Lavenderrose73 8 months ago
@Lavenderrose73 No fault. I just don't buy into religious stuff. we really don't need to keep talking about this.

funny, the guy is having a maternal instinct misfire, by wanting to help the bird out of its egg, but the woman knew better
