  • what is the name of this spaceship?

  • @Amforevaa Are you blind? name of the spaceship is "Virgin Galactic Spaceship 2".

  • It's 2012, where is the space tourism?

  • @RezoLP It's already flying.

  • @vyrukas2 Well, thats pretty cool, but, sadly, you don't hear much about it.

  • Not even close to the real thing!

  • im doing a report in tech about this. pretty neat!

  • I wonder if the cabin crew would like that??

  • @Gr8DaysOutUK Cabin is same in real spaceship 2.

  • lol what space flight will be like in 2008??

  • I am very happy to see the Video is not 100% complete but gives you a sense of the journey from you, hopefully the others also are happy for You

  • I Love The Video Virgin Galactic Spaceship 2 animation Get a taste for what space tourism will be like in 2008 when Virgin commercializes space flight It Can Increase My Knowledge

  • Nice Video is not 100% complete but gives you a sense of the journey. For more on Virgin Galactic, see iinnovate's interview with Alex Tai, VP of Operations at That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You

  • I Really Like The Video Virgin Galactic Spaceship 2 animation: Get a taste for what space tourism will be like in 2008 when Virgin commercializes space flight From Your

  • Your Video is not 100% complete but gives you a sense of the journey Is Very Useful Sharing

  • i hope they planed the re entrie in the atmosphere

  • @CoolKillerClan it will re-enter just like any space shuttle re-enters.

  • hmm guess I'll be waiting until mega bus runs this service before I can afford it

  • Almost & not so far away StarTrek XD.

  • @MrElintenso star trek minus warp technology.

  • please extinguish your underpants

  • Uh oh, Don't board this ship. The name is VSS Voyager. You'll probably end up on the other side of the galaxy.

  • @colm1234gt A MIG-25 doesn't leave the atmosphere, noob.

  • @blahblah0715 yes it does. 2-2 equal what i say.

  • Dust in eyes

  • This is the future I envisioned as a Child. Before the reality of prejudices an war took those dreams away.

  • @davidjonjohn Honestly djj.... that is pathetic.

All men have prejudice, and have had it since our beginning. Our brains are *made* to pre-judge. That is how we have survived.

War, as well, has been with us since before recorded history.

Yet humanity thrives on dreams, and those with the courage to chase them are the ones that attain them.

Not all dreams come true. Shit happens, as they say. No guarantees in life.

  • A ticket for this trip costs 200,000 dollars, a ticket into space in a russian mig25 costs 20,800 for the same, if not even better experience. So eh, well done to anyone who already bought a ticket from virgin galactic.

  • @colm1234gt U do understand its not possible to get into space with any sort of fighter jet we have now. we cant even get close to low gravity with any jets, especially not migs because they stopped making those like 20 years ago. aside from this, the only way into space aside from being an astronaut was from the russians but you had to pay $25,000,000 dollars to get onto a spaceship. this seems like a pretty good deal to me, even if the average citezen can't afford it.

  • @duckster10028 Close to low gravity?

  • @duckster10028 But if our government was producing the stealth bomber and the U-2 back in the 60's; then just imagine what is top-secretly being created now or has been created. I bet that we have more capabilities than anyone from the outside could imagine man.

  • No Virgin Trip to Outer Space would be complete without the Sci-Fi Novel Renpet as you peer through the portal at the stars ....find out more on youtube, under the search: Renpet - 2012 - Science Fiction or Science Fact?

  • What design is this? This is not the current design.

  • @ikenwan

seems to be like a marketing guy's imagination of Xprize concept.

  • Why can't Richard Branson's "space ship" the Virgin Galactic go to the moon? Are we to believe that it is technolgically inferior to the Apollo missions from over 50 years ago? What specific advantages (technological, design, computing, navigation, material, engine, thrusters etc.) did the Apollo missions from have that the Virgin Galactic does not? How specifically would the Virgin Galactic need to be improved so it could do a fly by of the moon?

  • @creamrising Well, the space ship is suborbital. It's main goal is to privatize spaceflight and make it much cheaper than it would be otherwise. You get billionaries ponying up HUGE amounts of cash for tickets which subsidizes further developments without being beholden to government funding. The free market ROCKS.

And I'll send you a message to why "Superman Returns" is a brilliant F-you to NASA.

  • @harmier I'd be inclined to agree when and if the free market shows more investment in space. I think too many people have faith that our corporate moguls will use space for exploration and human habitation the way our government has. The government pursued space without the concern of profit which gave them more leeway imo. Cheaper yes, motivated primarily for human expansion/education... I'm not so sure.

  • @creamrising It's not technologically inferior - it's superior in fact, but it was never intended for orbital or even deep space flight.

  • @creamrising One reason for not receiving all the green lights for moon travel can be found in "Dark Mission" by Richard C. Hoagland.

  • Do remember this is a simulation and apparently it is quite a smooth flight so I'm sure a more secure seatbelt system will be designed

  • I wonder how fun zero G bowling would be?

  • Dear Santa...

  • thats a promo vid. Richard Branson has a stick up his ass, anyway.

  • haha you are now free to float around, :p lol

  • Space Sphere: "SPAAAAAAAAAACE"

  • I was talking about selling any idea or product with 'seduction'! Without it, it's all kind of bland and blunt.

  • It's So Sexy..., and so close 2 reality.... Speechless just 2 watch others do it...

  • @henrysoul1

Those are 2 rendered dolls, hardly realistic.

  • Impressive pcitures, will be cool!

    Can't wait!

  • Nice. Was this a commercial piece or for your own entertainment?

  • I bought one yesterday, and I took my girl for a trip. She loved it!

  • we look like aliens =o

  • 2008 ? ? ? I still have't seen none of those "tour" virgin spacecrafts flying outta space.

  • Virgin blows

  • Pour aller voir d'en haut le bordel que l'on à mis en bas.... :(

  • This is a pretty cool video, but you used different frame rates for different render passes on different elements, and it's really distracting. If you're going to do that, at least use some sort of pixel interpolation.

  • the first 9 miles would be boring as hell.

  • Waste of money and resources.

  • @moosesteak7 earth is a finite place. if it does and it inevitably will die even without human intervention, YOUR kind of anti-science selfish asses die with it.

  • it just looks soooo cool

  • 5:09 Turn off your fucking freaking mobiles

4:17 The dickhead captain has now turned off the flippingbloody sign

4:21 You are now free to do some porn and sex

2:40 are you ready for the porn club

5:23 Pls give me a hickey (other guy this is space u r goin to suck me too hard)

5:24 Pls suck my dick (U r goin to suck it too hard)

  • @iSoloution 5:28this is when i was born upside down

  • This is SpaceShip1 not 2

  • how do u get down?

  • @supershard555 This is an old video mate, I'll send you a link to a newer video that explains re-entry. You'll also be able to see what the final craft will look like.

  • You are only barely touching the edge of space by definition 50 miles up. Not impressed. You need to go 4 to 6 times higher for LEO.

  • The next time someone makes fun of virgins...

  • I have a question once the passagers start to float around da room and lets say their to dumb to get back in their seats when its time for re entry would they have to be seatbelted for re entry?

  • I would so join 100 mile high club on that ;)

  • that looks like an orgasm !

  • Just think, Virgin Galactic probably has nearly 100% safety rating. NASA has nearly 78%-85%. It proves that we can privatize and do things right, and can do them well without the governments involvement! Cheers to the flight crew/ground crew & staff of Virgin Galactic! Keep up the work! We all love what you do!

  • I will look terrible in one of those suits so maybe this is not for me

  • IMO, at $200,000 for a seat its hardly 'space tourism'. The whole point was to make space travel open to civilians, but its so exclusive, at that price its still closer to NASA than civilian tourism.

  • @mellodge It'll go down. It's called capitalism! Jesus Christ. It's not like it will always be that price.

  • @SniperViper1000 hahaha Yeah I guess.

  • @mellodge

It's got to start somewhere. Te rich people defray the start up cost, then the price starts coming down for the rest of us. Sir Richard's plan is to bring the price of a ticket down to that of a transatlantic airline flight. That's a realistic goal that will open up space for many, many people.

  • i am seeing a tv show on this right now

  • Fuck Branson.

  • I hope the elite fractional reserve bankers all get in the craft a blow up.

  • i would want something better than a lap belt when i am going to space

  • 50 years or so (hopefully earlier) before its like an ordinary airplane trip.

  • cost about 134000$ this guy make always a lot of money....

  • Airplane food taste like shit, what about space food?

  • @cappermeh all tang i supose

  • Future is near.

  • lose painlessly space virginity with Virgin !

  • will they serve any beverages?

  • Um, that's not space........It's still technically within Earth's atmosphere. Having said that, it's still cool as hell to do. Actual space, outside of the protective magnetic shield, would be beyond the Moon.

  • Watch out for space junk. Estimated 20000 man made objects of junk floating around the planet at high speed.

  • @soulkeeper2200

Yep. And if even one small bit hits the space plane it will be destroyed.

  • @soulkeeper2200 Yea man made Polluters of everywhere they go. It's pristine nature disrupted by inglorious man who needs to eliminate & use the bathroom whether rich or poor!

  • again, not galactic!

  • Hey, at this rate Spaceship 3 might actually make it into space! I bet this one could if it wasn't filled with rich people. BTW, where does Virgin Galatic plan on getting these space suits? They're probably not even included in the price.

  • "please turn off Virgin mobile phone now..." Yah cuz im sure everyone wants to text there brother ass theyre zero G, "Hey dude, Im on my way to space..." Lame... lol

  • Here's a much better demonstration of space flight and the computer animation is much cleaner... youtube.com/watch?v=kSQVU5V1-No

  • I can't believe how many people think this is a waste of time, money, and resources. Do you want to sit on a rock your whole life? And do you really believe that this is destroying the environment?

  • next stop colonizing the moon lets get star wars on and rolling guys ^_^

  • COOL

  • k so lets say virgin succeedes wiith space flight wat if something went wrong with the capsule ur fucked

  • very cool, let's see how long it takes to get through all the red tape and political jealousy, is it my imagination or is that che guevara in the space visors from; 5:10 - 5:25? and finally, i guess there won't be any chubby folk in space.

  • God I'm so excited. They plan on recruiting pilots in 2020 :D

  • @wrylie188 Now way! Where did you find that out? I'd do anything for an opportunity to do that!

  • @aeroshark1 Popular science article, also I saw a tidbit on thier website. They plan on recruiting from military-only groups for the first 5-6 years, then they think it will be simple enough and commonplace enough to recruit regular commercial pilots for the job. I'm already a military pilot, so that can't hurt my chances.

  • @wrylie188 Nice, what squadron are you in? Too bad you don't have any videos posted of that. You should share it with the world. I have a few of me flying on my channel. Thanks for the info though. I really have to look into that. Always wanted to be an astronaut. Now look at me, I'm flying red coffins lol!

  • well not in my life time sight never see it

  • NASA can still use the Virgin Shuttle just not under their trademark. The actual spacecraft VMS Eve Whiteknight Two was designed and built by Scaled Composites. Personally, the aerodynamics seem inefficient and carry too much bulk with the attached mothership, one challenge Virgin Galactic will face when they officially launch commercial flights

  • now why cant NASA not use the Virgin shuttle by what i can think of you can make the ship as big or as small as you want correct??

  • THEY'RE ALL GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL WITH THEIR FATHER

  • who know gundam anime here..i wish they can make a space colony and i can live there hahaha

  • @bent they are.

  • Fantastic is the Best Word we can yet think about. An an Engineer I can only imagine how much effort must have been put in into this milestone, Hats off to each one of them who contributed even a bit for the success of this

    Ashok Dhingra

  • why do they make things so difficult? Why dont scientist or whoever makes planes or has ideas of making planes just look into somne sci-fy movies and copy a concept off that? I wouldnt mind flying in a Millenium Falcon or an Ebon Hawk :P

  • @longsolid9 Simple, because sci-fy movies are made by movie makers who have absolutely no clue how gravity works. Just because it looks good on screen doesnt mean it can fly.

  • @Zamolxes77 Dude the thing's already been on lots of test flights up there.

  • Next time you get a big cell phone bill, take a deep breath and remember that all that money is going to a good cause...putting millionaires in space.

Sadly, they'll be bringing them back, but it's a start.

  • @jhuger Socialism sucks. Rich people are what made nations.... well, nations.

  • @SniperViper1000 I'm not sure how you got from "You're cell phone bills financed this." to socialism. My point was more along the lines of "Maybe if Virgin is making enough profit to finance a private space program they could afford to lower their rates a little and maybe we as consumers should put some economic pressure on them to do so." That's pure Capitalism, baby.

  • Can I borrow $200,000?

  • Accordingly to its construction, this ship is for me-"Nothing new under the sun".It can't surprise me with anything.

  • Hello, how much are these tickets?? They coulda just taught folks how to levitate and save a shit load of money, donate that money to the poor, and what about the atmosphere, does anyone care, did anyone see all that burning fuel in the air to get this thing up!! Well, this is a trip for the super rich that's for sure.Let's take them to space and leave the rest of us on the planet they destroyed with their greed. Sounds like a great plan, for them anyway.

  • The real money making business in using Spaceship 2 is launching micro sats into space, low orbit space tourism is only supplimental.

  • @TogieTung Virgin Galactic doesn't have an orbital vehicle and they won't have it for a LONG time (if ever) so they can't launch anything into orbit, no matter how tiny. The only business they can make with it is space tourism

  • And they won't let you do texting!

  • lol not alot of people will b goin coz its like 125k :L lmao

  • must cost a shit load

  • Apparently its just had its first 'captive-carry' test flight at the Mojave Air and Space Port.

  • I guess we could save tons of fuel for our future generations

  • lol lame ass virgin mobile advert lol 5:09

  • maybe lame but a hell of an investment!!!

  • @bmofano Your mission Jim, should you chose to accept it, is to produce a better video within 10 days. This message will self destruct in 10 seconds. Over to you!

  • @bmofano lol! I know!

  • space journey $200000

  • OR £120,000 if your british :).

  • Ehh, I don't really care for multi-stage space vehicles unless they're one way only...

  • eigentlich ganz toll aber der innenraum sieht kacke aus^^ und wie kann in so einen kleinen vehikel genug treibstoff drinne sein?

und wohin saoll man damit fliegen?

  • i hope i will go to space before i die...

  • i hope you die before you go to space

  • @covingtonium why?

  • @BiggestTwoNoobs oh no reason, just funny

  • @covingtonium sure its really funny to wish someones death.

  • who said that space exploration is a waste of money? Space exploration inspires innovation of new technologies.

I don't understand people who say that space exploration is a waste of money and then go watch their satellite TV and weather forecast and use many other things we owe to people in the aerospace industry.

  • i completely agree, and obama is wanting to shut down the Aries rocket program! which is supposed to take us back to the moon and even to mars someday!

  • I know how you feel. Though I must say, I don't see the point of orbital tourism, like this company seems so keen in. Orbit is but a stepping stone on our journey to the stars.

  • hwplugburz, an intersteller craft would have to be many times more complicated and super-redundant compared to any interplanetary craft. I don't have any intentions for going for the Centauris quite yet. First we must conquer orbit, and then it's on to the moon, Mars, and everything else in our path. =)

  • BECAUSE THEY ARE CHRISTIANS!!!

  • @Daltonist it's a waste because they are not sharing the real technology, the true energy that could make it much, more easier and accessible by the everyday folks. They may share 10% but believe me, the technology they use and what they give to the masses is the distance of light years. And how well do they predict the weather? And why do we need 45 channels of propaganda and brainwashing? Then we get up from our easy chairs and step over the homeless. Makes sense? Our planet needs help, folks!

  • imagine how badass it would be to be a spaceship two pilot, you would get to go up to space at least once a week. and you would get paid a fuck load !!!

  • yes, but there is a pretty good change to die

  • yeah, they should take advantage of their occassions cause in the short future..pilots will be a thing of the past..well atleast in the veichule itself

  • @johnyunker supose a rich person wanted the job say rich piolet then he would get the job and get paied nothing. no, imagine a lot of rich people that are piolets and no one get paid. lol how am i doing?

  • @johnyunker what would be even nicer that being a spaceship two pilot, it to have people reply to youtube videos with out being such a POTTY MOUTH.

  • These flights are all SUB orbital. it is an extended "vomit comet" ride. There is going to be no Marooned 2 movie.

  • Oh okay, I gotcha cupera1. Thanx for enlightening me.

  • he's incorrect

  • It's already flown. Commercial flights are scheduled for 2011.

  • @vrundaful me too, i hope we are going to be partners in that mission

  • that would be such a fucking russhh

    so amazing

  • i will go in it one day remember my name

    vrushabhc chotalia
