This famous commercial was produced by Digital Effects Inc in New York. It uses the same Visions software used to make TRON. The car is real & matte inserted; backgrounds are synthetic. Produced by Judson Rosebush, directed by Jeffrey Kleiser, animated by Don Leich, Debbie Deas, & others. The car is stationary and the computer animation moves past it, an application of the old traveling background cel-animation technique. A view from inside the car & exterior shots make the illusion complete.
