I am glad this was not one of those stupid video's where a jerk convinces a girl to shoot something she knows nothing about..just to see her get hurt and laugh.
I am impressed to no end...not even a flinch with the first shot.
@Thatdudewiththetaco Thank you. To lock my arms with this would not only injure me, but negate the control I currently enjoy over the recoil and drive my straight arms directly back into my shoulders knocking me off my feet. Given my height and weight, and the length and weight of this gun, I bring it in closer to my body than a tall man would need to in order to maintain balance and control.
@qanthaqi It wouldnt injure your arms if you did it properly. You dont lock your arms btw. You roll the inside of your elbows towards each other, so that your elbows are both pointing directly outwards. This will cause the pistol to transfer most of the recoil to a straight back motion instead of inducing muzzle flip like how your stand is. Using the method I described will make your arms absorb the recoil, not your body. This technique is helpful for follow up shots too.
@Xxcory11xx :) I noticed that when I watched this the first time after videoing it but you are the first to comment on it. It's a Logitech Orbit webcam sitting on a ladder about 12 feet away. So yeah, the shock waves travel a fair bit.
pense k iva a golpearse la cabeza y despues del 1er disparo me kede pfffffff jejeje pero save d armas y disparar solo k tiene los brazos unpoco doblados pero haun asi save como disparar. muy buen video. salu2
@Cabanas751Dunhill Usually I start with this gun and fire 25 rounds. If you see my target videos you'll see why. 5 rounds in each circle (or at least the attempt). Then I do the same with my .44 magnum. I putter around and chat between each set so it takes a while. :) Then I finish out the night with my .22 cos it's easy and less tiring.
So you rest between rounds - I shoot straight through and this weapon wears me out as I can usually shoot 1000 rounds of 9mm or 500 of 40-45 and some 9 on top of it if I pressed myself to get as tired as 20-70 rounds straight of this stuff. H0W LONG did it take you to come to find your sweet spot for your grip. It's different than any other weapon I've used because of the kick - looking for your thoughts - PS I love hefeweizen beer too - theres a new Texas brewmaster out tap right now.
@Cabanas751Dunhill I shoot at a small club, not a commercial range, so it's a social event as much as anything. We don't have an automatic target retrieval system so we all have to stop every half hour or so to change targets. And that's when we chat and have a look at each other's new purchases. :) I've just started shooting a .45 ACP and it's much easier to put through a lot of rounds with that!
Good shooting form. I'm a gun club member and shoot competitively. I use Glock and Heckler Koch weapons. But do own a S&W .44 mag that is always a blast to shoot (pun intended). Haven't shot the .454 yet but It probably has a bit more recoil than the .44 mag :) Anyway you have good form and you look very comfortable. Those two things are essential in both what you do before, as, and after you pull the trigger.
@TheCanesVenatici Thank you for all the positive comments and support. Because of the ported barrel in this it actually has less perceived recoil than my S&W .44 mag and the rubber grips make it much more comfortable. And yes, I am quite comfortable shooting this. It is a blast. ;)
First, this is a monster of a gun. She's handling it leagues better than many of the other folks on Youtube. Second, she doesn't have any flinch whatsoever; she can pretty much handle anything on the planet, judging from this. Third, I am terrified of shooting one of these, and I'm not a little guy myself. If she wants, she could go very far in the world of shooting. Lastly, YOU ARE HERE TO SEE THE GUN, NOT SQUEAK AND WHINE LIKE BABY FERRETS.
@silvermediastudio You didn't have far to read to find out that I am in fact shooting .454 casulls. I reload my own with a 260 gr bullet at 1250 fps. Medium loads.
your stance is all wrong, amateur work overall, put the gun down until you learn how to shoot and until you receive your licence. or just stop shooting and save us the grief.
@buddynkoda My stance may be different from what you perceive as correct, but it is not wrong. Read a few of the comments, there are enough to choose from. I got my licence 4 years ago, this is my own gun. As to amateur, you might want to look at the target videos I have posted.
Because there aren't enough vids on here showing people who do just that, and then are terrified of firearms for the rest of their lives simply because their boyfriends thought it would be funny? That makes for future gun grabbers. Dick.
holy crap woman!! that guns as big as you, props to you for shooting big ass guns that alot of guys i know would be afraid of, and, you handle it like a champ!!
Last time toured a bit over the northern border, we were in our motor home with tow. Border guards asked 'bout' weapons. Told him my 9mm had been stolen night before we left NM on tour. They were not satisfied and searched the coach for 15 minutes before making wife toss some potatoes. Thunder Bay was a pleasant stay over in the park, in spite of feeling 'nekkid' without my Carry. Have fun smokin' off a few at the range ehh! As noted, you are a 'pretty' stable platform for a hand cannon. :>)
The guy walking down the suburb street in AK, found himself facing a charging freight train Grizzly. The Casull reportedly brought it down..... at his feet. What's your fav CC?
wow, i was expecting her to knock herself out. im surprised by her control considering her arms arent as extended as i would have them. after seeing this i think i might graduate from the .357 mag to the .41 mag... still too timid to try the .44 mag, let alone the 454 casull.
Love it! You are one hell of a woman! Why the 454 Casull? Just out of curiosity. My favorite gun is my Ruger GP100 .357, which is not only a blast to shoot but is a tack driver...I'm better with that than most people are with rifles.
@kirchhoffMIG Thank you. When I got my licence 4 years ago, all I wanted was a S&W .44 magnum because I had shot one, as my first firearm, many years ago! I couldn't find one. So I went looking at new handguns and this one caught my eye as being the next best thing. Six months later I did find a .44 magnum so of course, had to have that too! :)
@joltrogue You struck no nerve. It is an oft repeated criticism so I simply listed my answers to the usual reasons. And you didn't answer my question.
all the negative comments obviously from people that have never had that revolver in their hands, not sure ma'am if that is the taurus raging bull .454, but a job well done indeed, for such a small framed female you control that beast with ease, iam kicking myself for trading it in, and thinking about getting another one for hunting, still undecided
@joltrogue To accomplish what? I've been told to lean in cos I look bad. Don't care how I look. Been told to lean in to improve my accuracy. See my target vids. Been told to lean in to stabilize my platform. I'm perfectly stable. Been told to lean in so I don't injure myself. I've put thousands of rounds through this without injury. Very strong woman here, good grip, good aim, nicely done...anyone else and it would have nicked them in the face or they would have dropped it- I know, I have fired one of these and they are absolute beasts...Nice video!
@jvallow Thank you. FWIW to lock my elbows with this would not only injure me, but negate the control I currently enjoy over the recoil and drive my straight arms directly back into my shoulders knocking me off my feet. Not sure what is meant by locking my wrists, but my wrists are firm. If they weren't, my accuracy would be nothing like it actually is! See my target vids.

@MinscArendia I'm shooting at 3.5" circles at 35 feet. See my target videos for the results. I have two up. One is this gun, the other is my .44 magnum.
@AllAmericanGuy01 I have a few. First: it's way too big for me to use confidently in an emergency so I wouldn't carry it, even if I could. (Conceal carry is not legal in Canada). Second: It would be pretty amazing to see the faces of those around me when I pulled it out! Third: Where would I hide it given its size vs. mine? ;)

@AllAmericanGuy01 I have a few. First: it's way too big for me to use confidently in an emergency so I wouldn't carry it, even if I could. (Conceal carry is not legal in Canada). Second: It would be pretty amazing to see the faces of those around me when I pulled it out! Third: Where would I hide it given its size vs. mine? ;)

@qanthaqi LOL. Strap it to your leg? Or have it strapped to your back and pull it out like a sword when you're ready to use it...Just messing lol

@AllAmericanGuy01 Hehe, yeah, I like the back scabbard idea!

Awesome :D. I mostly expected you to get pimp slapped by the gun though. Seen it happen alot. You handled the recoil pretty well.

You handle that recoil very well... Too many times I've seen hurt shoulders from tense firing.

@TheAutobotTrinity Thank you. My shoulders don't suffer at all firing like this.

I "REALLY" thought this was going to end badly for her. That thing is expensive to shoot, too...

@kevinomahoney I reload my brass at a cost of about 35 cents per round.
