look at the hip rotation, arm extension and length of stride he had. He could no doubt throw very hard. He did develop a curveball after the dead ball era as a wrinkle. He changed speeds on his fastball and had outstanding command, running his heater up, down, in and out. That info is taken from newspapers of the day. He was obviously a marvel.
This is SICK. How could Johnson have blown his fastball past the best hitters of his day with this seemingly effortless motion? AND without a curve, much less any other pitch? Good grief. WJ must have descended from another planet:) --
