Why does everyone think Chrona's a guy just because Chrona's called "he" in the anime? In subs/dubs of Japanese shows/movies, it's very common for "he" and "she" to get mixed up, since they are so alike. Also, just look at Chrona. Chrona doesn't sound like a guy, look like a guy, dress like a guy, act like a guy, and yet people insist that Chrona is a boy just because they NEED for every anime to have some Uke boy for their yaois. -_-

First off, when it comes to subbing/dubbing anime, the words "he" and "she" get mixed up extremely often; it's not rare at all that an anime would call a female a guy without it being corrected. Second, just because the subs/dubs in the anime said that Chrona is a "he", doesn't mean Chrona is. In the manga, which came before the anime and was written directly by the creator, Chrona is referanced as a she.

Also, when asked, the creator said that he didn't really plan Chrona as strictly male or female, so it's impossible to tell.

The characters never point out themselves whether Crone is a girl or boy but for some reason in the anime they call Crona "he."
