The justification given was that these children might grow up in such a way that could cause them to be in an abusive relationship at some point in the future. It is guaranteed by the 4th and 5th amendments to the constitution and by federal state laws that establish procedures for dealing with citizens in various situations. There isn't a cure for cancer, because all cases of cancer are different. Cancer is a genetic mutation of a cell that causes is to grow out of control and damage other tissue. I am not condoning thier behavior. But now we know that the call was a lie. I have seen episodes of COPS that have law men going into homes that are trash dumps, and walking out leaving the kids in the home. These people have kids living in good homes, and clean. Our own country at the turn of the century condoned young brides. What turned the LDS away from what is the FLDS was a change in law. If it were not illegal to marry multiple times, the LDS would still practice what the FLDS does now.

There is nothing in their doctrine that requires under age marriage, and not all get married under age. Since they're "spiritual" marraiges and not legal, they aren't even legal bigamy. Gays have clergy perform marriages that aren't state recognized all the time. There have been abuses in the Catholic church, but no one is assuming they're all guilty, or rounding up their children.

I wasnt responding to you about Fascism,..it was a reply towards another.If they are innocent then the courts will find them as such. Until then though.They will have to endure this Public,and Governmental scrutiny. While I have no issues with their life style,..I do find it a bit presumptuous to think the government has "No right" to take children away when an "Elected" public official thinks they are in danger. Obviously the Judge thought there was probable cause to enter the compound.

We dont know if its a hoax or not. There isnt Conclusive evidence. And even if it IS a hoax, there's still a legal process that needs to be followed. These people will receive their children back with Due process. They will have Justice. The important thing to remember is to keep our minds open and not make flash decisions deciding if either side, is right or wrong. That will spark anger and resentment and hatred. Thats the last thing these people need. Also, I doubt Obama is relevant here.

A law can not mandate when someone reaches "adulthood". Religion has been very appropriate in this matter. It has never stated that their is a set age. There are many, many people of the age of 18yrs. who, regrettably never reach "adulthood". At the same time, there are also many under 18yrs. who are very "adult".

You thankfully do not decide age of consent, there are legal ages of consent that is LAW. Regardless of your religion, belief or culture, if the LAW states that the age of consent is 16 or 18 and you've forced her to marry at 12 or 15 then a law has been broken.

There is no evidence that a 13yrs. is involved... there is statements stating from 14 to 17 which of course if their is parental consent would be legal, that is "completely legal" if county court documents are also involved. The reason the news keeps pressing the 13yrs. non-evidence is that, that is what would be illegal in Texas.

This case: A girl calls in "claiming" to be a 16 year old girl in this "Religious group" and that her 50yrs. old husband has abused and raped her. RESULT: The government shows up at the location with an "open ended" search warrant, takes everyone away and then separates the children from their mothers. The claimant has never been found. Has never been proved to exist and yet they are ordered to be continued held while both children and parents are forced to have DNA samples taken.

Here is how it normally works. A call comes in... a woman is saying she has been abused and raped by her husband... RESULT: The police come to the location, they don't have a warrant because their is NO PROBABLE CAUSE. They talk to both wife and husband to determine the situation

You better learn the facts before you defend these people. I have 1st had witness testimony from a client who ran for her life from a place like this. Her group killed run away women and girls and justified it with the blood atonement doctrine. Incest was justified by the Adam/God doctrine. Thank God CPS is looking into this!!!
