  • well still waiting for my system to come in, should be soon, currently got Mark of the wolf, and SNK vs Capcom Chaos, and the same controllers you have in your video .... if you happen to ever want to sell any of your MVS games hit me up.

  • stupid question but, if I want to set this up at my comic shop, for my customers to play, how would I set it up for the quarter system to work? Granted there isn't a coin slot for this like it's original Arcade incarnation, but is there a way to set it up to receive quarters, or will I just have to do it as a pay for play (time) set up instead of by actual quarters to feed the game play?

  • @medicwheat69 Well the machine itself is a standard MVS board, so it's obviously been made with coin-play in mind. However, I'm not sure if you'd be able to mod the wooden casing to fit a coin slot (and I'm not sure you'd even want to, this thing is gorgeous).

  • so how many different types of controllers work for it, and what would be the best 2 to get for this CMVS unit?...I take it e-bay would be the best bet to get a controller(s)? and the CMVS carts? or do you recommend some other website to get them at good (reasonable) prices?

  • @medicwheat69 Basically any AES stick or pad will function on it. The cheapest option is the Neo Geo CD stick, which has the red fire buttons. The original stick that was sold with the first AES system is usually quite expensive. There's also the NGCD joypad, but the microswitch contacts on those often stop working because the stick inside the pad gradually sheds dust particles, which prevent the switch from making contact. You can fix it (there are videos on YouTube showing how)

  • still very nice, but then it's a mad dash to bay the carts for it which run at some what pricy ranges themselves for the really good titles

  • @medicwheat69 All the 'good' games on any retro system are expensive, this is certainly preferable to AES prices

  • Jealous :)

It's like a piece of furniture that happens to play MVS games. It's sacrilege to put that on your floor!

  • Not everyone has the space for a full size cab. Compared to other CMVS units, this is very competitively priced

  • A thing of pure beauty - cracking background tune as well mate :)

  • @ianwilson1978 Thanks mate! It is a lovely looking machine, to be sure!
