  • Very cool. Really well done.

  • WOW! Amazing, this aircraft have a 5 on the the GPWS

  • The radio altimeter voice sounds pretty weird XD

  • It was a VOR ILS Approach ..

  • emo gpws

  • 太讚啦

  • @aaatsz 謝謝!

  • I hate the on board "feet" call-outs lol "50, 40 etc"

  • daaamn i would give up so much just to be in your place! just once!

  • that was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when you disengage the A/P and A/T do you have to make many movements for pitch and speed adjustments?

  • i hate it when they reverse the throttle when I wake up from my sleep and see that the plane has already landed, the throttle is really loud

  • Ohhhhhhh it said "5" not many commercial jets say "5" usually only business jets do

  • Cool Video, nice GPWS sound ! The DC´s and MD´s have a female voice. That´s awesome. And the woman behind that voice made a vid here on YT !

  • the old hong kong airport when you land you can see into peoples bathrooms when they are sitting on the tolilet. lol. that how close

  • nice landing dude, didnt u feel nervous when you fly the first time with passengers as u got many lives on your hands? xD sry for bad english

  • It dosn't look as much fun as the old Kai Tak Airport :)

  • It's CAT II?

  • It was an ILS appraoch, but the landing was manually, you can hear the AP off sounf.

  • what does that blinking white light mean?

  • show the runway

  • Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL) are installed at many airports to provide rapid and positive identification of the approach end of a particular runway. The system consists of a pair of synchronized flashing lights located laterally on each side of the runway threshold.

  • @gafalcon7 Did you copy and paste that from Wikipedia......

    ;)

  • @spider23000 ya pretty much but I knew what they r I just use to make it more simpler for ppl to understand.

  • Voice of the computer in an Airbus sounds weird lol... hard to understand what it's saying

  • It sounds like an old Speak and Spell

  • simply professionals ;)

  • Thats Like a CAT l ILS Landing

  • That was awesome!!!

  • Thanks and Enjoy!

  • @patton303

    you da man

  • Not neccessary in this condition

  • wow awesome landing.

  • wow great VFR!

  • At 0:22 is autopilot disengage

  • good job detective..

  • yes

  • very nice landing

  • Because you wouldn't have the auditory signals and vibration when the mains touch well behind the cockpit. The "apparent" touchdown is appreciated only when the nose touches.

  • what was the sounds at 0:22 ? was the autopilot disengage ?

  • Yep. Autopilot disengage and at 0:26 the autothrottle disengage.

  • why is the plane can fly itself but not land itself?

  • The plane can land by itself in an ILS CATIII operation.

  • planes CAN land themselves. although pilots can use it whenever, autoland is used mostly in very low visibility conditions. CAT III B or C: usually when minimums are very low.

  • some plans can, some cant. This is an older model, it might not have full automated landing systems, the pilot must take control close to landing. Look up wikipedia ILS for more info

  • Yes

  • i don't understand how pilots can do that

  • you can also disengage AT at 50ft

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, first sound is Autopilot off, second is Autothrottle off. Therefore he flies the landing fully manual.

  • No, before AP disengaged, We had released Auto throttle.(normally at 1,000 ft AGL)

  • Can we disengage AT after touchdown?

  • Yep, if you do a CAT III Autoland.

  • So the warbling alarm means "autopilot disengaged" and the three ticks afterward mean "autothrottle disengaged"?

  • The three ticks mean flight phase down grade.

  • "Flight phase downgrade"? As in transitioning from a STAR to an ILS approach?

  • No, such as CAT II to CAT I, due to AutoPilot disengaged.

  • great landing, but camera work needs improvement

  • Thanks for comment.

  • my english noy very well. And may i ask you one question?I want to know what is holding pattern?thank you ,sir

  • holding pattern french circuit d'attente : a circle on air which if it's necessary ( more aircraft a all can't land directly) this aircraft wait for theire turn to land but such an aircraft can't stop they turn arround a radionav balise it's a holding pattern

  • are you have e-mailor msn?can you give ma your address?I want to make a friend.

  • are you pilot?

  • Yes, I was.

  • great video !! The touchdown looks really smooth !

  • they have lights like on the car

  • how can a 30 year old man ask this quation .....

    wtf!!!!!

  • they have lights on the plane that light the runway and taxiways for some meters and the taxiways have lighting of course!

  • imaging how it would be if you had to land at kai tak back then in this type of weather

  • Well, I gusse kai tak does have instruments and there are warning systems when your taking the turn. I remember that theres this pad on the mountin with like a chekerbord pattern on red and white. At least I think cause I live in Canada. LOL

  • I guess that aircrafts would have to go to their alternative, not sure though :)

  • man! the GPWS sounds horrible

  • A300 is an old model of airbus what do you expect? MD80 one sound even worse...

  • What is the name of the computer making the altitude call-outs? 300 200 100 50 30 20 10.

  • GPWS if I believe

  • GPWS :Ground Proximity Warning System.

  • the sounds for the 40 30 20 ft sounds horrible

  • the cockpit looks like a b747 /:

  • look at the descriptions

  • funny altitude callout`s

  • yea lol exactly...n b4 that..its sumthin like...100 tattta ....80 tatatata...lol

  • Just because I couldn't afford to go ahead with it doesn't mean I wasn't serious about becoming one.. I even travelled all the way to Portsmouth just to do my High School work experience with CTC Wings. I've just found out that they also do a Cadet training course which is sponsored, so I'm gonna apply for that.

  • I went through a VERY long phase of wanting to become a commercial pilot, but soon found out that it's very costly, so I dropped my dream :\

Around how much does it actually cost, if you don't mind me asking?

  • in america it costs around 40 000$ and 80 000$ but dropping your dream because of the price, means that you were not really interested. I wanna become a pilot and it certainly not because of the cost of a pilot formation that i will give up my dream.(And in europe it's worse up to 180 000$ to become one. but I'll never give up.)

  • I would just say that you must do anything to become one, never give up. it's good that you will try to apply for this cadet program but if you fail what are you gonna do just give up your dream? That would be a shame cause you would have the possibility to become one.

Make of your dream a reality

  • Yes... Here in Portugal costs around 50.000€ is a lot of money, equivalent at the price of a big spacy house...I want to become a pilot too, if your dream is FLY, like mine, go to air force and study aeronautics...you dont spend much money, only thing you have to do is Study and study a lot!

  • I can't go to air force because I have medical restrictions and i'm not very interested about becoming a fighter pilot. But it's true that it can be a solution for not spending much money.

  • hey do u have to be ultra good at maths to be a pilot?

  • No, not really so necessary.

  • But physics, you do. (No offense) Math is just simple head calculations.

  • Ok thanks

  • No problem dude. ;)

  • At the moment I can only fly with my FSX and connected to IVAO xD

nice landing, vacated the runway very quickly, that's good.

  • Great vid!

  • Thanks!

  • nice airport;;;;; hope i land there one day

  • nice landing! i hope to be a pilot one day as u are :)

  • You will, Do it.

  • I dream to be a pilot...

  • Go to get it!

  • are you a pilot?? Thanks for uploading!!!

  • Yes, I was.

and Thanks for love the Video.

  • Great vid!!!!! tnx for it :)

can you tell me is there much training to be a pilot???? thinking of trying it :)

  • Go to get it!

  • get wa???

  • That was really smooth.

  • well the PUPI lights says hes in the glide slope but isnt that kinda high?

  • PAPI

  • Nice>>>thanks 4 sharing it

  • Thanks==>Enjoy! and appreciating 4 Love it.

  • very nice video , we always land here in this airport and this sight are same during December.i have a question though, what are those sound beep at 0;20 , that is from what instrument which mean what? anyone please answer me please.THANKS alvin

  • The warning sound for disengaged Auto Pilot.

and the following "da ! da !" was down grade Auto Flight phase.

and Thanks 4 love the Video.

  • THANKS , nice , thats the airport way ahead at the end of this video , cheers alvin

  • i want to be a pilot to! with 5 yrs i can be

of those super hero's! moments like there want me make to fly :D very nice vid!

  • you can do it mate! flying is the best i only wish that i didnt have 2 eye opertoins when i was 6 years old.still i got my solo pilots rating and have been flying anyway, the only bad thing is that i could not go to the navy where the best pilots are because of my eye trouble.if you love flying like i do then dont let anything get in your way ! fly its the best job in the world. peace!

  • I cant thoses want I want also to The Royal Netherlands Air Force, but also i want to have my CPL and PPL

  • on fsx even if your landing is soft the wheels smoke??/

    or is that just average??/

  • Wheels will smoke because usually autobrake is on, so brakes is applied when gear touches runway. Wheels skid a bit before they start to roll.

  • maybe you are applying to much brake pressure because i dont have that problem.use your reverse thrusters before you start to brake and even then try to careful ,commercial aircraft are very heavy and you have to be careful with the brakes.

  • wats a good simulator to practice with?

  • FSX or FS04. I would recommend FS04 (older) as it consumes less memory. FSX, I have heard, slows down your computer a lot. I do it with FS04.

  • Yes! FSX is beautiful, but you pay for it with framerates unless you have a CRAY-3 desktop. :D

  • wooooow amazing vid m8

my dream is to be a pilot someday as well buy people say im not clever enough=[ but these kind of videos encourage me to keep my dream m8 THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!! JDWU.

  • Welcome! Go to get it.

  • to killerlad9:

Me too! I've been told i'm too smart to become a pilot and should aim higher. But there can be no better job! See you in the skies in 20 years?

  • How can you be TOO smart to be a pilot? I have complete book smart friends and if I took them up in a plane they wouldn't know what to do. They have no judgment skills, nor hand eye coordination.

  • That was awesome!

  • Greetings friend, these video's of yours are a big motivator for myself as i am a student pilot flying C152's and nearly PA28's in Sydney, it motivates me even more to get into an airline. Thankyou and all the best. Mithat.

  • Thanks! my friend.

Go to get it, You will be a pilot.

  • how much time does it take to become a pilot

  • For the Private Pilot certificate (according to the FAA in the U.S.), the minimum is 20 hours dual instruction, and 20 hours solo. The average is around 60 total hours.

For a U.S. airline pilot, 3,000 hours as PIC in large turbine, multi-engine aircraft.

In the old days, the military was the preferred route to a jet job, but now... the balance has tilted toward civilian trained pilots.

If you want more info on pilot training, go to the world's largest pilot association, AOPA d o t ORG.

  • I got to love the A300-600's they are great looking aircrafts i being on A300-600 with Thai Airways with the same PW Engines but this view of the Glideslope looks great, i got to love this video keep posting :).

  • Great job in uploading this video MR.Wu keep up the good job and thank 4 sharing it

  • I will and Thanks for love it! Enjoy

  • This is a good approach and landing, wanted to see the instruments a bit more but the papi-lights does well too :D

My dream is to become an airline pilot and whatever happens I am going for it! The money is not important, I'll fly in any case...

  • i have flight simulator 2002 and was wondering when flying a beoing 737 how would i go about lining the plane up to the runway

  • Mr WU , keep posting the good work.

  • Thanks! I will.

  • wow, great landing, on the glide slope the whole time, I still have a hard time flying VOR-VOR in flight sim, I just cant figure out how to do it, But I finaly figured out how to land ILS. =D

  • Thanks for love the Video and Go!

  • Nice landing! ;) I want to be a pilot too! :)

  • Go to get it! You will be pilot.

and Thanks for love the Video.

  • CAN WE PLEASE SWITCH JOBS! hehe you are fucking awesome=)

  • Thanks 4 love the Video! tussisussi

  • It's a relief pilot taking the video or co-pilot? Lol. Couldn't have been the co-pilot right? He has to aid in landing.

  • I am in observer position. We have three crew at this flight.

  • Your videos are awesome! Keep up the good work!

  • I will and Thanks for love the videos!

  • thank you for sharing this with us xD

  • Welcome and Thanks 4 love it.

  • nice..

  • Thanks and Enjoy!

  • you can get P and W engines for airbus aswell as rols royce for airbus i think ge are a boing only but i cant be sure

    hope that helps.

  • This aircraft equiped with PW-4158 engines.

  • It seems so slow! like 30 km/h or something. The typical illusion! Very nice AP landing. 5/5

  • I don't think this was an autopilot landing. Hear the bleep sound in the beginning three times? If I remember correctly, this sound is played when the autopilot is not in command of the plane anymore.

  • Ok, no auto pilot. Oh well.

    =P

  • Normally We used auto pilot utill 1000ft AGL(Above Ground Level), if conbition permit.

The bleed sound was HP(High Pressure) bleed valve open due to thrust lever in idle position and packs requested.

    and Thanks for your comment.

  • jahulan, it looks like he was on the glideslope, I saw two white/red most of the way down on the papi i believe.

  • your right... he just seems high...

  • actually, the system does not warm up the cabin. it does cool it down. since the cabin is pressurized, the air is heating when under pressure. air conditioning drops the heat from 50C to say 21C or so. only on the ground it is heated.

  • Is it just me, or were you above the glideslope?

  • Prolly a >3 deg approach.

  • actualy the older Airbus jets such as the A300 showed in this video and the A310 have yoke flight controls although the newer Airbuses such as the A380

    have sidestick controls

  • Nice ILS approach! 5 out of 5 stars. Lol i love the obnoxious callouts.

  • Thanks!Enjoy.

  • Is it very different to fly an airbus and a boeing? or are they the same

  • It is need a lots of reading and learhing,

technical is easy but knowladge was hard.

    Got for get it.

  • miguelmvs25, airbus's have sidestick control, so your controling the plane with a little joystick, and boeing jets have regular yokes.

  • i need a airline pilot to answer my question when u r like 30,000 feet in the air does it get cold in the cockpit or do u have heaters that warm the cockpit up?

  • The air in aircraft from engine, so we condition the air actually.

Regulated and Cold the air into cabin.
