  • Abe: You're the worst shill I've ever seen! You're a disgrace to the medicine shill business.

Homer: They didn't start chasing us until you turned on that getaway music!

  • awesome

  • There is nothing better than great bluegrass and a family gathering, godd clean fun

  • Every genre of music has one composition that is better than all the rest. I don't know of any other Bluegrass tune that is better than Flatt and Scruggs on Foggy Mountain Breakdown. You don't have to like Bluegrass to enjoy it, you just have to be alive inside and enjoy music.

  • I love fast paced Violin-Guitar instrumentals like this, from the "Son" of Mexico to bluegrass of the South.

  • Weel, weell, . . Looks like wes gotz us some city boyz here!

  • It's impossible to listen to this without envisioning a bunch of old enormous cars from the 60's and 70's barrelling down some backwater road with the occasional unlikely jump thrown in that would totally destroy an undercarriage and yet the cars roll on in perfect condition.

  • @patchesdf loaded with moonshine

  • @LES6723 Yea nowdays there loaded with meth... go figure.

  • @patchesdf Just the good ole boys, never meanin' no harm. Been in trouble wit' the law since they day they was born.

  • @Flyboy207 fun as hell aint it lol

  • @patchesdf I disagree :)

  • @patchesdf

I envision a bunch of guys sittin' on the front porch playing a banjo and moving there foot up and down in a rythmic motion

  • @patchesdf Hahaha! Best comment ever man.

  • Nonpareil.

  • if you dont get this, you dont get music.

  • From "Bonnie & Clyde." Thanks for the download.

  • Masterful. *****.

  • this music is soooooooooo good. love it. going to see ricky skaggs at watseka theatre on friday aug 26

  • ROBLOX bought me here...

  • @BeastMods4U ditto

  • This is the sickest banjo playing ever. I listen to primarily rap and hip hop and I can appreciate the musical talent in this.

  • @LaurelRidgeR you dont comment on country videos if you;re into the rap crap.

you just keep you derogotory comments to yourself.

rappers are rude, and thats accepted, but country folk never put down one another.

    just a good lesson.

  • This is my prefered gettaway music!!!

  • THIS SHOULD TOTALLY HAVE BEEN PLAYED AT MY WEDDING..........OH WELL THERE IS ALWAYS OUR VOWEL RENEWL;)

  • @127songbird

Will you be renewing your consonants as well?

No offence, just made me smile.

    Great music this.

  • @Johntheresonator no offense taken and thanks for the comment it made me laugh when I saw it my little girl is thirteen months old and dances to this song its one of her favorites its so funny!

  • @127songbird That creates a great image in the mind, children at that age have a natural sense of rhythm. I remember a grandson of ours shaking his butt while I was playing 'La Bamba.' in the kitchen. Looked hilarious with just a nappy on and cereal all down his front.

  • Daughter at Dads funeral asked mum how he had died. "Heart attack sweetie." "How?" "Well we were errrr, having sex." The daughter went crazy "he was 80, you should have known better, way too old for that!" "Look, years ago, when dad first knew he had a bad heart we realised at noon each day the church bells rang & we decided to do it to that nice, slow rhythm so he would be OK. It worked for years, your poor dad would be alive today if that damn banjo playing busker hadn't come in our street!

  • This is the greatest love making song ever.

  • @kenny91919 LMAO

  • This should be NASCAR's theme song.

  • haha all the dislikes are damn yankees i bet

  • yee har, wicked stuff man

  • Music doesn't get better than this.

  • @daviswhitetrash but the US entered WWII in 1941, in Japan. One of the first actual American landings in Europe was 1944, whilst the UK had been in there helping the USSR with Operation Barbarossa since 1942, so saying the American's help was a decisive victory in Europe would be a smack in the face to the Millions of Russians, British, Indian and Polish who died in Europe years before the US>

  • @AlexPwnsYou22 thats partly why hitler sent bombs into england b/c they sided with the french & the russians but the actual bombing on london was pure misinformation it was an accident. well i guess it'll have to be a slap in the face b/c its the damn truth! hitler had europe behind the woodshed until we got in it! the fact is europe was fighting hitler to keep him off of them and he was walking the dog on them when america got in it! kicking ass and taking names is what we do! god bless the USA

  • Comment removed

  • @AlexPwnsYou22 actually theUS invaded italy in 1943 sicily and africa in 1942 get your facts right

  • Yeah this is what i listen to when I fuck my sister.

  • @LecceDiPane funny this is what i listen to when i fuck her as well !

  • anybody thats ever been at the business end of a good ol'boys rifle has seen a bad day.people like alvin york audie murphy! we can hunt, fish, fight, shoot, make some damn good liqour and our music and women are second to none! i'm proud to be american and even prouder to be a southerner cause like the damn bumper sticker says we aint scared we're armed to the teeth and drinking some "damn good" out the mason jar and been that way since our ancestors stepped foot in good ole dixieland!!!

  • @daviswhitetrash Sounds truly like the land of the free, shame Britain isn't like this ://

  • i be living inna wood cabin in the ole southdowns an us folk still pickle hedgehogs

  • bloody hell this is good!!!!!

  • @Django5198 You said it brother!

  • @TNMountainBoys good ole rocky top boy ! Good to hear from tenn. just across the mtn. in N.c.myself.

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @daviswhitetrash I got a couple thumbs up on my comment so some people must have found it funny, that's all I was going for, just chill out :L

  • @daviswhitetrash

I'm just retarded enough to know what would happen if you said any of that to my face, peckerwood.

If you can't understand the difference between a comment about specifically killing X number of people (and the corollary that you were bothered by Union atrocities while ignoring even the possibility of Confederate ones) and a more general comment about who won the damn war, blame your own determined ignorance and partisanship. Personally, I think the whole war sucked.

  • @emncaity well you almost scared me there for a minute with all that tough guy talk luckily you are full of shit & i'm unconcerned (ha-ha) peckerwood is what you called me how original! i understand perfectly well the nature of your comments the social bias and stereotypical attitude towards hillbillies and proud southerners. southern forces never targeted civilians like sherman there is historical fact to support my statements can you name a northern town that csa soilders raped and pillaged?

  • @daviswhitetrash

Mm-hmm. I don't have a stereotypical attitude (I think you mean something like "an attitude that treats Southerners as stereotypes). As I said, I'm perfectly aware there are really smart and decent people there, as there are everywhere. Some of them are my own relatives and friends. It's just that you're not talking like you're one of them.

Having said that, I'm actually interested in the question you're posing, and I'll try to go run it down when I get some time.

  • @emncaity I have to say that my comments need to be justified as originally I defended hillbillies from being slandered by someone that hillbillies fought and died to keep from going under nazi occupation ,then winstoncap made a remark about stomping southerners and being a modern day sherman so I gave him the run down about though you all may have won the war but we kicked the dogshit out of ya'll! i like you hate the war but I am proud of the fight we fought! it was honorable!

  • @daviswhitetrash what does this piece of music have to do with nazi occupation

  • @hps4316 some dumbass from the u.k. was making offensive statements about hillbillies and this line of music and i made the statement that if it wasnt for those hillbillies he was degrading he'd be speaking german b/c a large majority of the fighting forces was good ole hillbilly boys who fought and died to keep jolly old england from going under nazi occupation and those same hillbillies kicked the dog shit outta of the queens boys every time they came over here looking for trouble!

  • @daviswhitetrash ok, firstly, i have no problem with anyone from any country what so ever.

secondly, if that statement is true then why was it that america only came into the first and second world wars right at the very end when victory was certain, and why did america decide to keep out of WW2 until Japan attacked america. also the reason for you even being american is because of europeans invading america and taking land from the natives (of whom you are not)

  • @republicancelt - Excuse me, but my ancestors walked the Trail of Tears. I am descended from Scots-Irish from the hills of Kentucky and from Georgia, along with Cherokees who walked the Trail. Don't forget that we Yanks kicked the Brits' arses twice and saved them twice! We stayed out until the Germans and the Japs forced us into the wars. WW2 wasn't nearly won when we got into it - we kept the Brits afloat so Hitler didn't invade and take over. Midway and Normandy were the turning points.

  • also you had the help of the french. i dont think americans can go bashing british views on anything since most of you are of british decent and also we are helping your army currently and for the past hundred years, mostly due to your governments greed for oil and resources.

  • @republicancelt I traced the majority of my ancestory to scotland, ireland & germany.I'm proud of the connection & respect the u.k. in its time it was a badass empire & is still a world power today! however we have had our differences in the past but the world still views the u.k as the standard of royalty I respect that we deserve respect as well & I being a proud american will never not defend my people my people being those folks known as hillbillies we've earned our respect in every fight!

  • @hps4316

My dad was a Pole who fought in the Italian campaign, including Monte Cassino.

However, this brilliant bluegrass music, some of the best and arguing about the Nazis is way too many degrees of separation for me.

Take it easy people, this music is about making friends not enemies!

  • @daviswhitetrash

It'd help if you stopped talking and acting like a hillbilly, though, wouldn't it?

I mean, I have quite a few relatives and friends in the Deep South who are intelligent nondefenders of the South's role in the Civil War. It's just that you're not one of them.

  • @daviswhitetrash You've left replies to a load of comments below, clearly you're either just a troll or you're deluded enough to think you're some kind of Youtube Batman creating some comment justice :L

  • Is this music used in Wacky Races?? It sounds so familiar

  • i want this to play in the movie about me where some guy sayd my name and the other guy's like" who?" then i pop the hill in my old galaxie. lol

  • You could play this in South Africa, England, France, Australia, New York or wherever and you'll still end up being chased by a village of hillbillies screaming something about "DANG MEXICEEN!!!" or "YOO IMPREGNADED MA DAWTER!!!"

  • @petethespud you might want to watch ya mouth if it wasnt for those hillbillies you are degrading you'ld be speaking german b/c god knows the U.K. is as well known for fighting as it is for dental hygiene. Those hillbillies fought in WW2 to save your ass from hitler bending your queen over and I also know that those hillbillies kicked the dog shit out of your majesty's boys in the american revolution and sent them back to jolly old england with thier tails tucked!!! your welcome!

  • @daviswhitetrash

Something to think about (this song is great isn't it - you cannot listen to this and smile and wanna drive fast but I digress) IF the vote early in America's founding for official language was German instead of English (it was very close) we probably would not have had two world wars. As a natural cultural linguistic affinity would have developed and likely prevented a need to have them - no rise of Hitler post WW1. Interesting to think about the ramifications isn't it?

  • @majik2hanz probability isnt my strong suite rather fact! although you have given me a line of thought to ponder over extensively. considering my 8th grandfather was a german named johann b.stagner. him and daniel boone founded boonesboro,ky together I can certainly see the large population of gemanic immigrants that would have caused the german language to be considered. although it would have certainly inspired hitler to see abe lincoln speaking german as he was inspired by abe

  • @daviswhitetrash Number one, chill the fuck out. Number two, in the years it took the US to go to war in WWII millions of innocent civilians from all over Europe had been rounded up and slaughtered in concentration camps. Number three, why the fuck have you trolled over half the comments in this video? Is it because your parents don't give you enough attention so you feel the need to go around the internet and try to wind people up? Grow a pair you fucking loser

  • @daviswhitetrash

So true. England never won a war in its history without the help of white Southern Americans.

  • I'm originally from "Southern" Ontario, Niagara Falls to be exact does that count? We used to drive over 100 mph back in the day down Old Pancake Road this music would of been appropriate . YEE HAW

  • I'm from real down south ...Australia! love this pickin'

  • THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN!!!!!!!!! YEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWW!

  • @74FORDTORINO As a northerner I can hardly wait, for it will be fun stomping southerners again, maybe I can be the new William T. Sherman, and go on a fun filled burn/pillage spree across the south

  • @wistoncap I am not a die hard Southerner like Mr.74FORDTORINO here, but what you said was a little harsh. I am a North Carolinian and a proud Southerner. You are probably a proud Northerner too, so I don't think you would like it either If someone said something like that to you being proud of where you live. Lay off a little, Okay?

  • @wistoncap Who can argue with a thoughtful reply like that. You are right and I am wrong

  • @wistoncap maybe you need a little history lesson b/c the south killed over 350,000 yanks! ya'll barely killed 150,000 thats including the innocent women and children you cowards robbed and raped. we was outnumbered and out gunned and blockades around our ports and we still fought a helluva battle bare footed and with inferior weapons and never made innocent women & children apart of it like you yankee cowards! Any time you want to come get you some southerners you just come on down! deo vindice

  • @daviswhitetrash

So you're proud of the fact that the South killed 350,000 Yanks (I'm sure without a woman or child among them, and of course no rapes). Got it.

Also, I was thinking we'd come down there and "got some" before. Am I wrong?

  • @74FORDTORINO

    No. It won't.

  • @74FORDTORINO

    Stop now. Just stop.

  • @madtiger111 You from north?

  • @74FORDTORINO Since when is bluegrass exclusively Southern? I always thought it was Appalachian. I hear it in West Virginia more than anywhere else.

  • @Littlemack100 you're right. It originated in Kentucky

  • @Django5198 Yes sir, I believe it remains pretty popular there too. Likewise, it has plenty of history in other parts (midwest, nothern Appalachians) and I know there are still even jamborees in the north and in Canada nowadays. I just don't see how it can ever represent an old Confederacy.

  • @Littlemack100 then you've never been to the blue ridge or the smokey mountians here in north carolina.........us tar-heel boy's throw down.

  • @smartacus88 Lol. I know it. I've been through there many times. It's one of my favorite parts of the country. I believe Scruggs is from the N.C. part of the blue ridge, isn't he?

  • @smartacus88 I'd love to visit

  • @SSRogue88 you'd like it.......if you know were to go,it's like stepping into a time machine and visiting what america used to (read:SHOULD) be........there are still some people who refuse to abandon their own kind and culture, and i'm one of them.

  • @smartacus88 Good for you man. There are far too many people willing to give up or sell out on their history just to get by or be accepted into this new degenerate society. I'm not one or them either.

  • ol moon shine running music!! lol BADASS

  • I am so proud to be from the south!

  • awesome banjo playing and love how they used it in bonnie and clyde.

  • @punkypink85 good to see some one from the south

but im not a southern im a icelander but i really want to be from the south

  • I'm proud to be from the south ;)

  • *****.

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

  • "They didnt start chasing us until you put on that getaway music"

  • @smarticus88 wrong, JAZZ, AND BLUES

  • Look! There goes Daisy Duke!

  • This is a great any time for any reason feel good tune.

  • Now go listen to Vassar Clements play Orange Blossom Special on the fiddle with a bunch of other first rate fiddlers! Awesome too!

  • bluegrass didnt come from slave music its music thats evolved from the old country of scotland and ireland mixed with good ole german craftsmanship from our ancestors who came over into va,nc,sc,ga,allover the south all back in the woody hills of the blue ridge mtns songs like knoxville girl came over as oxford girl and no telling what it was b4 that yes black folks have been apart of the musics history but they didnt create it. these songs are old as time!

  • @daviswhitetrash America: The good ol' mixing pot, where music is born! ^_^

  • Puts a smile on my face for so many reasons... thanks dad.. I love you so much.. You are sorely missed every day..cant wait to go the concerts in heaven with you... Hank jr was just a preview... right???

  • Aiken Bluegrass festival this weekend. Town Mountian and the Hackensaw boys will be there!!!

  • This song makes me wanna rob banks like Bonnie and Clyde did.

  • Comment removed

  • Totally epic backdrop music to kill bin laden to and film it in ragtime

  • Finally...something white people did right...really right...

  • @nikitakontiki While the artists here are white, bear in mind the bluegrass as a genre had its origins in the former slave community. It's definitely black music and has nothing at all to do with country & western (which sucks BIG time, whereas I love bluegrass).

  • Had to add some 'shine' to my morning coffee

  • paddle faster, i hear banjo music!

  • This song reminds me of my grandpa.

  • I don't know why but this song reminds me so much of the Wacky Races cartoon.

  • @marius994 because if you listen closely they actually play this song

  • makes me want to get in a 91 camaro and blow fish out the lake with a 12guage

jump on a deer and stab it tie it on the hood and skin it in front of a Eviromentalist meeting sream YEE HAW and do donuts in their parking lot and speed off into a sunset

    THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE

  • Midnight moonshine sonata #5

  • TURN OFF THE DAMN MUSIC!

    WHY?!

CAUSE ITS MAKING PEOPLE CHASE US!

    Totally worth it!

  • im 14 and i listen to this. gets your feet tappin :)

  • every time me and my buddies go out carp shootin this is the only song we listen to!!!!

  • MAKES ME WISH I COULD STILL DANCE

  • Everytime I hear this, I think of an old college football radio show that used to always come on every Saturday morning called Leonard's Loser's. In pure comical fashion that was iconically Leonard Poststostess, he would pick the loser of every major college football game that was to be played that day. Ahhhhh those were the days. Git me outta here Percy.......

  • I swear I hear jug blowing in there too. :)

  • jävlar vilke bonneläpps musikalhomo låt :o varför ens -.-

  • *song starts* OH GOD THIER COMING AHHHHH *runs away

  • This is the song that just had to get written. If you're going to have bluegrass, you have to have this. Everything else is icing on the cake.

  • who doesn't think of Bonnie and Clyde when they hear this?

  • awesome a one and true original replicated but never duplicated!!!

  • im 14 and i really want to learn how to play the banjo...is it a hard thing to learn?
