There is no inherent meaning to life... What the hell does "emotion" mean. Codependency exists, the Fight or Flight impulse exist fear and "love" stems directly from these constants. Emotions are ALL illusions.
This is a hard concept to get your head around when your out and about. Imagine when your crossing the road and some guy drives through a red light and nearly runs you over, how would that make you feel.
I believe addictions are the real obstacle for love. The ego gets alot of blame, but it is needed for social interaction. You get praise or disaproval of your actions, the praise can become addictive in people so they ignore the consequences of their actions so long as they get praise.
